    Items

    • Players are not able to use Fancy Darkmoon Feast or Sugar-Crusted Fish Feast while in combat.

    UI

    • Looking at the map while in Area 52 now displays Outland, as intended.

    Artefatti & Potere Artefatto
    • Il completamente della Missione Equilibrio di Potere non diventerà vincolata all'account essendo una ricompensa cosmetica specifica per il personaggio;
    • Dalla patch 7.1.5 anche per gli aspetti segreti degli Artefatti ottenibili dai Boss delle Incursioni è stata implementata la bad luck protection;
    • Con il rilascio della Patch 7.2. che comprende l'aumento del livello massimo di Conoscenza dell'Artefatto (CA) a 40, sarà possibile acquistare dei tomi che aumentare istantaneamente la CA di un proprio alt;
    • Gli oggetti che danno Potere Artefatto (PA) ottenuti prima della patch 7.2 saranno inutilizzabili una volta potenziato il proprio Artefatto con i nuovi tratti o una volta raggiunto il livello 26 di CA;
    • Con la Patch 7.2 e ricompense in PA ottenute al completamento delle Spedizioni Mitiche+ saranno assegnate in base alla lunghezza dell'istanza, per evitare il continuo farming delle Spedizioni più corte.

    Patch 7.1.5 e 7.2
    • Il cambiamento alle statistiche secondarie avvenuto con la 7.1.5 è stato soddisfacente per gli sviluppatori;
    • Con la 7.2 una volta completato il secondo step dalla propria campagna di classe sarà possibile sbloccare nuove ricerche per i potenziamenti dell'Enclave. Tra questi la possibilità di ottenere un secondo tratto bonus sulle reliquie;
    • Il secondo tratto sarà scelto casualmente e sarà sempre diverso dal tratto principale;
    • L'obbiettivo del secondo tratto è rendere ogni reliquia potenzialmente interessante.

    Leggendari
    • Nella patch 7.2 la bad luck protection per i leggendari sarà più legata alla specializzazione;
    • I Leggendari creabili con le professioni non influenzeranno il sistema della bad luck protection;
    • È intenzione degli sviluppatori non rendere i leggendari craftabili migliori di quelli droppabili ma una via di mezzo tra l'avere il proprio best in slot e non averlo;
    • I giocatori che ottengono più leggendari potranno cambiarli in maniera da equipaggiare quelli più adatti alle varie situazioni.

    Potere Artefatto
    • L'obbiettivo del Potere Artefatto era quello di essere una ricompensa universalmente desiderata, e la sua abbondanza di fonti era motivata dal non farci sentire di "sprecare il nostro tempo";
    • L'esistenza di un cap però ha fatto pensare ai giocatori che ci fosse un obbiettivo finale verso il quale bisognasse correre il più in fretta possibile;
    • Nella concezione degli sviluppatori invece non c'era un punto di arrivo definitivo;
    • Attualmente molti giocatori svolgono molte attività ripetitive col solo fine di accumulare PA e il team vuole scoraggiare questa attività;
    • In futuro sarà integrato un sistema di diminishing return per disincentivare il farming sconsiderato, oltre agli altri cambiamenti discussi;
    • Il PA è volutamente legato all'arma e non al personaggio, sarebbe "strano" se cambiando specializzazione ci si ritrovasse con l'arma meno usata al massimo della potenza;
    • Finora, per la stragrande maggioranza dei giocatori il sistema degli Artefatti è stato soddisfacente perché il PA gli viene distribuito normalmente durante le loro normali attività di gioco;
    • Il team sta attualmente lavorando sull'appianamento del potere tra chi ha un Artefatto "maxato" e chi invece ci ha speso una manciata di punti, ciò che è visibile sul PTR non è ancora definitivo;
    • Quando la patch 7.2 sarà live gli oggetti per aumentare la propria CA non saranno più utilizzabili, questo per impedire che i giocatori si sentano obbligati ad ammassarli in previsione dell'aggiornamento.

    Questione Gilde
    • Il Team è consapevole dello stress a cui sono sottoposte molte gilde per via dell'attuale sistema degli Artefatti, e sono alla ricerca di una soluzione;
    • I ritmi che molti giocatori sentono di "dover tenere" non sono sani e le attuali limitazioni al consumo del contenuto non bastano a tenerli a bada;
    • Molte delle modifiche alle Incursioni fatte in passato sono state decise sempre per questo motivo: ad esempio contro M'uru ci furono gilde che lo affrontarono quasi ininterrottamente e in risposta a ciò fu in seguito introdotto il numero di tentativi limitato;
    • L'attuale strategia delle split run è un modo per aggirare quei limiti, a cose è servito metterli se gli stessi giocatori sono disposti a tutto pur di aggirarli?

    Varie
    • Il Tier 20 è stato reso di sei pezzi ma mantenendo il massimo bonus a 4 pezzi per permetterci di indossare i nostri leggendari e avere anche i bonus del set;
    • Nel PTR sono stati trovate delle abilità per il buff di gruppo, attualmente è un esperimento e non è detto che arrivino nella versione live;
    • Il team è al corrente che alcune Missioni Mondiali non forniscano ricompense soddisfacenti, sono al lavoro per renderle in linea.

    Classes

    • Monk
      • Essence Font's periodic effect can now correctly critical heal.
    • Rogue
      • Shadow Dance should no longer sometimes consume a charge but fail to trigger.

    Dungeons and Raids

    • Mythic Keystone Dungeons
      • Players who complete a Mythic Keystone dungeon at level 13, 14, or 15 will receive items of the following item levels from the chest at the end of the dungeon:

        • Mythic 15 – 885
      • Items from the weekly Grand Challenger's Bounty will be of the following item levels:
        • Mythic 13 – 890
        • Mythic 14 – 895
        • Mythic 15 – 900

    Items

    • Aluriel's Mirror: Healing-over-time effectiveness increased by 140%. Area of effect healing detonation effectiveness reduced by 35%.
      • Developers’ Notes: Aluriel’s Mirror’s detonation effect is strong when it activates, but hard to rely on. We’re increasing the heal-over-time effect significantly to improve the up-front value of this trinket, and reducing the detonation effect slightly to compensate.

      • (Unholy Death Knight) Proc rate increased by 68% with Summon Gargoyle, and no change with Dark Arbiter.
      • (Feral Druid) Fixed a bug that prevented Incarnation from working properly with Convergence, and no change with Berserk.
      • (Windwalker Monk) Proc rate decreased by 62% with Storm, Earth, and Fire, and decreased by 75% with Serenity.
      • (Retribution Paladin) Proc rate increased by 250% with Avenging Wrath, and increased by 25% with Crusade.
    • Draught of Souls: The Use effect of this trinket now respects the global cooldown. The damage of this trinket is now reduced by 30% for Unholy Death Knights (was reduced by 40%).
      • Developers’ Notes: Since Draught of Souls deals Shadow Damage, it’s increased by Unholy’s Mastery, which means we needed to reduce its base damage to keep its overall value similar to other classes. It’s currently a little too low, however, so we’re increasing the damage it deals for Unholy.
    • Entwined Elemental Foci: The amount of Critical Strike, Mastery, and Haste granted by this item has been increased by 5%.
    • Etraeus' Celestial Map: The amount of Critical Strike, Mastery, and Haste granted by this item has been increased by 5%.
    • Fury of the Burning Sky: Damage increased by 40%.
    • Icon of Rot: Damage increased by 40%.
    • Might of Krosus: Damage reduced by 25%, but is now always a critical strike. Also, fixed a bug where the cooldown was incorrectly being reduced if Might of Krosus damaged at least 3 targets. The tooltip for Might of Krosus will display the amount of damage that will result from the critical hit, not the base damage.
    • Perfectly Preserved Cake: Absorb amount increased by 140%.
    • Pharamere's Forbidden Grimoire: Damage increased by 85%.
    • Star Gate: Damage increased by 30%.

    • Priest
      • Vampiric Touch now deals 10% less damage in PvP situations (was 25% less).
    • Shaman
      • Elemental
        • Icefury and Icefury Overload's damage is reduced by 35% in PvP situations.
        • Icefury now increases the damage of Frost Shock by 300% in PvP situations.
        • Elemental Blast and Elemental Blast Overload's damage is reduced by 15% in PvP situations.
        • Damage to pets and guardians will no longer contribute to Lightning Rod damage in Arenas and Battlegrounds.
      • Enhancement
        • Windfury can no longer be activated by Windfury Totem’s Windfury.

    Lore ha annunciato sui forum ufficiali le modifiche ai monili ottenibili nell'incursione Rocca della Notte, decisamente più deboli rispetto a quelli precedenti. L'hotfix arriverà con la prossima manutenzione, insieme alla versione Mitica della Rocca della Notte e dei bilanciamenti per le Classi.

    Lore ha scritto

    In general, we’ve found that our tuning on trinkets which relied on a direct damage or healing effect (as opposed to their raw stats) have come up a bit short this expansion. To help address that, we’re making the following changes:

    • Claw of the Crystalline Scorpid: Damage increased by 30%.
    • Arcanogolem Digit: Damage increased by 30%.
    • Entwined Elemental Foci: The amount of Critical Strike, Mastery, and Haste granted by this item’s proc has been increased by 5%.
    • Might of Krosus: Base damage reduced by 25%, but is now always a critical strike.
      • The tooltip for Might of Krosus will display the amount of damage that will result from the critical hit, not the base damage.
      • Also fixed a bug where the cooldown was incorrectly being reduced if Might of Krosus damaged at least 3 targets.
    • Draught of Souls: The Use effect of this trinket now respects the global cooldown.
      • The damage of this trinket is now reduced by 30% for Unholy Death Knights (was reduced by 40%).
      • Designer Notes: Since Draught of Souls deals Shadow Damage, it’s increased by Unholy’s Mastery, which means we needed to reduce its base damage to keep its overall value similar to other classes. It’s currently a little too low, however, so we’re increasing the damage it deals for Unholy.
    • Icon of Rot: Damage increased by 40%.
    • Pharamere's Forbidden Grimoire: Damage increased by 85%.
    • Fury of the Burning Sky: Damage increased by 40%.
    • Star Gate: Damage increased by 30%.
    • Aluriel's Mirror: Healing-over-time amount increased by 140%. Detonation effect reduced by 35%.
      • Designer Notes: Aluriel’s Mirror’s detonation effect is strong when it activates, but hard to rely on. We’re increasing the heal-over-time effect significantly to improve the up-front value of this trinket, and reducing the detonation effect slightly to compensate.
    • Perfectly Preserved Cake: Absorb amount increased by 140%.
    • Etraeus' Celestial Map: The amount of Critical Strike, Mastery, and Haste granted by this item’s proc has been increased by 5%.

    As for Convergence of Fates, we’re spending a little extra time to make sure our changes here are as comprehensive as possible, so we don’t have final numbers yet. However, we can share our overall plan for the changes we intend to make. We intend to reduce its base effectiveness (before talents) for Windwalkers, and increase its base effectiveness for Retribution Paladins and Frost and Unholy Death Knights. Separately, we plan to adjust its effectiveness individually for the following talents:

    • Serenity (Windwalker)
    • Crusade (Retribution Paladin)
    • Incarnation (Feral Druid)
    • Hungering Rune Weapon (Frost Death Knight)
    • Dark Arbiter (Unholy Death Knight)

    We’re planning to make these changes with the next weekly restarts, alongside the release of Mythic Nighthold. Overall, this should make the trinkets in Nighthold more competitive with other trinkets available elsewhere in the expansion.

    As we prepare for the opening of Mythic Nighthold, we're planning another round of balance tuning for a few specs. These will be applied with the next weekly maintenance.

    Druid

    • Feral
      • Increased the damage of most Feral spells and abilities by 8%. (Ashamane's Frenzy, Brutal Slash, Ferocious Bite, Maim, Moonfire, Rake, Shred, Swipe, Thrash, Rip)

    Designer Notes: Feral's playstyle feels good, but isn't putting up the numbers that it should be, so we're giving them an across-the-board damage buff.

    Hunter

    • Combat Experience (Pet Passive) now increases the damage of primary pets by 60% (up from 50%).

    Designer Notes: This is primarily a damage buff to Beast Mastery, but will have a tiny benefit to Survival and occasionally Marksmanship as well.

    • Marksmanship
      • Arcane Shot now generates 8 Focus (up from 5).
      • Multi-Shot now generates 3 Focus per target hit (up from 2).
      • Sidewinders damage increased by 33%.

    Designer Notes: Marksmanship has given a lot of feedback that the rotation often winds up casting too many consecutive Focus generators. We are making two changes: first, helping avoid that problem by increasing the Focus generation of Arcane Shot and Multi-Shot. Second, making it more attractive to use Sidewinders in more situations, for players who prefer the pacing of the rotation with that talent.

    Mage

    • Arcane
      • Increased the damage of most Arcane spells and abilities by 5%. (Arcane Barrage, Arcane Blast, Arcane Explosion, Arcane Missiles, Arcane Orb, Nether Tempest, Supernova)
      • Overpowered now increases the damage and mana cost bonuses of Arcane Power to 60% (down from 70%).
      • Amplification now increases Arcane Missiles damage by 12% (down from 15%).

    Designer Notes: Arcane has been doing well in 7.1.5, but its numbers are lacking a bit. We're giving them an across-the-board damage buff, but tempering that with small reductions to a couple new talents that are proving to be too strong.

    • Fire
      • Pyroblast mana cost reduced by 20%.
      • Flamestrike mana cost reduced by 17%.

    Designer Notes: Under certain circumstances, it was possible for Fire to run out of mana. It's only intended that mana is a constraint on Fire's utility, not its damage.

    • Frost
      • Comet Storm damage increased by 24%.
      • Flurry now fires its missiles faster.

    Designer Notes: Comet Storm is failing to live up to expectations, so we're buffing its damage. The Flurry change will help Flurry feel more responsive, while simultaneously solving a potential issue where Winter's Chill could apply to two Ice Lances (instead of just one, as intended) at extremely high Haste levels.

    Monk

    • Brewmaster
      • Keg Smash damage increased by 10%, and it no longer deals reduced damage to 6+ targets.
      • Breath of Fire damage increased 11%.

    Designer Notes: Brewmasters could use a bit of help on damage, especially in AoE.

    Paladin

    • Retribution
      • Crusade now increases damage and Haste by 3% per stack (down from 3.5%).
      • Blade of Justice damage increased by 20%, unchanged in PvP.

    Designer Notes: Retribution's total damage is looking quite strong in 7.1.5, which is fine on its own. However, how that damage is delivered matters quite a bit as well. We've been seeing more and more that Paladins find that the optimal way to maximize their performance is to focus everything they can on boosting their damage during Crusade. This creates a number of problems, including: Crusade feels mandatory, your damage feels very unrewarding outside of Crusade, trinkets and artifact traits are viewed as either amazing or terrible based on whether they synergize with Crusade, and others. As such, we're going to tone down Crusade, and compensate with a buff to Blade of Justice. For those that had maximized Crusade to an extreme degree, this may result in a small overall nerf – this is intended. This change also helps prevent Divine Hammer from being too dominant in single-target situations.

    Warlock

    • Destruction
      • Chaos Bolt damage increased by 9%.
      • Rain of Fire damage increased by 30%.
      • Cataclysm damage increased by 29%.

    Designer Notes: Destruction's damage isn't as high as it should be. In particular, some of its spells that should feel the most rewarding aren't hitting hard enough, especially in AoE situations. We're buffing the damage of those spells.

    As always, there may be additional PvP-only tuning applied along with these changes. We'll share details on any such changes once they've been determined.

    21-23 Gennaio: Richiamo dello Scarabeo

    Immagine

    10-12 Agosto: Follia a Un'Goro

    Dopo lo scorso Q&A incentrato sulle modifiche alle classi stavolta i giocatori hanno potuto chiudere delucidazioni riguardo Professioni, Microfestività, Circolo dei Combattenti e Viaggi nel Tempo.

    Professioni
    • È voluto che gli oggetti craftati abbiano una durata limitata nel corso dell'espansione. Più si va avanti migliori sono i bottini forniti dalle Incursioni;
    • La Patch 7.1.5 ha aggiunto ricette per ingegneri e le altre professioni, nuove armature potrebbero aggiungersi in future patch;
    • I materiali sono più costosi in Legion in quanto tocca ai giocatori andare a cercarli e non sono a disposizione come lo erano nella Guarnigione;
    • Le professioni possono cambiare molto tra un espansione ed un'altra, è un modo per speriemtare;
    • Rendere i mob scuoiabili in modalità "multi-tap" è qualcosa su cui il team sta lavorando;
    • Il ban dei bot avvenuto nei mesi scorsi ha fatto innalzare il costo dei materiali;
    • Il team ha intenzione di migliorare la professione di Archeologia con la Patch 7.2;
    • Le quest delle professioni da fare nelle istanze non verranno rimosse.

    Microfestività e Viaggi nel Tempo
    • Il team sta valutando se innalzare il Livello Oggetto delle ricompense dei Viaggi nel Tempo;
    • In un futuro il team vorrebbe implementare i Viaggi nel Tempo anche per le Spedizioni Classiche, ma non ci sono piani per ora;
    • Il motivo per cui queste vecchie spedizioni non sono state considerante per essere implementate come Viaggi nel Tempo è che non rispettano l'attuale standard di design delle spedizioni e la loro ottimizzazione per i personaggi di livello massimo risulta molto complessa;
    • I Viaggi nel Tempo per le Incursioni verranno aggiunti in un futuro;
    • Le Microfestività non hanno ricompense "collezionabili" per via della loro breve durata:
    • La Microfestività del Richiamo dello Scarabeo è una gara che tiene conto di tutti i server di una data regione (Europa, America, Asia).

    Circolo dei Combattenti
    • I boss sono impostati ad un livello di difficoltà statico;
    • L'introduzione di sfide per i curatori all'interno del circolo è qualcosa a cui il team sta pensando, ma il circolo tratta di combattimento;
    • Non sono previste aggiunte di ulteriori boss durante l'espansione;
    • Qualunque idea può essere utilizzata nel Circolo dei Combattenti.

    Inoltre Paul ha affermato che la Patch 7.2 arriverà sul PTR presto™

    Character progression is a core element of World of Warcraft, and that includes PvP. In Legion, empowering your Artifact to become stronger is a key part of character progression. When Artifact Knowledge levels were low at the beginning of the expansion, we deactivated the 35+ Artifact Traits in instanced PvP to avoid having large power gaps when compared to players who hadn't made much progress on their Artifact yet.

    In Patch 7.1.5, we added several methods that allow players to catch up their Artifact progression very quickly. Brand new players can advance up to Artifact Knowledge level 15 without any research time, and existing players can mail Artifact Knowledge Compendiums to alts, which immediately bring them as high as level 20. At this point, the power gap between a player with 35+ traits in their Artifact and a player just starting out is significantly less of a concern, as the gap can be closed very rapidly. For those reasons, we felt that Patch 7.1.5 was the right time to re-open Artifact progression to PvPers who had already earned the first 34 traits.

    However, we did not communicate this change (and its purpose) with enough advance notice to allow players to effectively prepare for it. Furthermore, while the improvements in Patch 7.1.5 make it much easier to unlock those final traits for new players or alternate characters, they weren't available until today. While we still believe activating these traits is the correct choice for World of Warcraft PvP, the middle of an ongoing season is not the right time to make this change.

    As of a few minutes ago, we've applied a hotfix that once again disables the 35+ Artifact Traits in instanced PvP on North American and Oceanic servers. In other regions, this hotfix will be applied with the patch. The 35+ Artifact Traits will remain disabled for Legion PvP Season 2.

    Once Season 3 begins, we'll re-enable them. Note that Patch 7.2 will include some further expansions to the Artifact system that will make it highly valuable to have spent some Artifact Power on those traits (another reason we feel it's important that they be enabled in PvP). We'll have more details to share on those changes once Patch 7.2 has begun its public testing phase.

    Thanks for your feedback and understanding on this topic.

    La voce si era originata da alcuni player del PTR, che si erano accorti che per poter potenziare i propri Oggetti Leggendari ottenuti era necessario aver completato la serie di missioni di Illidan assegnate dal Cuore della Luce. Ciò che aveva destato allarme era la missione Prisma dell'anima degli illidari, che richiede di ottenere 80 Frammenti d'Anima Persistenti, ma avendo un limite di 10 Frammenti ottenibili a settimana la missione richiede ben 8 settimane per il completamento rendendo di fatto difficoltoso per chi gioca più di un personaggio riuscire a finirla.

    Gli sviluppatori però hanno assicurato che non è questo il caso, confermando che il potenziamento dei Leggendari non sarà vincolato al completamento di questa missione.

    Tra le novità della 7.1.5 ricordiamo:

    • I viaggi nel tempo di Mists of Pandaria;

    • Nuova versione dell'Arena delle Montagne Spinaguzza;
    • Nuovi modi per aumentare la Conoscenza dell'Artefatto sui propri personaggi secondari.

    Nella prossima build del PTR della patch 7.1.5 saranno introdotte altre modifiche di bilanciamento alle classi, specie per il Cacciatore e il Cavaliere della Morte.

    Death Knight

    An upcoming PTR hotfix (unsure of timing) will increase the damage of Portal to the Underworld and proc rate of Armies of the Damned.

    One other set of changes is meant to help free up a little space in the rotation, or at least get back to the point where you're not frequently wasting resources due to not having enough time to spend them all. We're reducing a few effects that inject large amount of resources into the rotation (such as Pestilent Pustules) and increasing overall damage slightly. The net result is that people playing busy builds like Castigator/Pestilent Pustules/Infected Claws will likely still be using most or all of their global cooldowns on abilities, but will less often be in a state where they ignore or overcap Runic Power.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hunter

    An upcoming PTR hotfix will increase the proc rate of Marking Targets significantly. Our expectation is that in stationary situations, it should be straightforward to have a Vulnerable ready when you need or want to spend Focus on Aimed Shot, and the primary factor in full or near-full Aimed Shot effectiveness is good Focus management. In addition, a Vulnerable window that's ineffective due to movement, freshly spawned targets, or similar issues will be much less punishing.

    We are also testing a subtle change that should address one of the flow issues that's been discussed. If Marking Targets appears very shortly (a split-second) before an Arcane Shot or Multi-Shot cast, it will no longer be consumed by the cast. When you're using Arcane Shot to build focus on a target that's Marked, if Marking Targets lights up, you will more reliably be able to react and cast Marked Shot, rather than overwriting the Mark with a new one.

    Presentate alla BlizzCon 2016, le microfestività verranno introdotte con la patch 7.1.5. Queste celebrazioni sono più corte e meno impegnative delle altre festività di Azeroth, es. Grande Inverno, ma sono altrettando divertenti! Ecco tutti i dettagli:

    Blizzard Entertainment ha scritto

    La patch 7.1.5 introduce una gran varietà di aggiornamenti e nuovi contenuti. Tra queste nuove aggiunte ci sono quelle che chiamiamo "microfestività". Questi eventi hanno lo scopo di rendere più vivo il mondo di gioco senza che i giocatori debbano sentirsi obbligati a partecipare per ottenere grandi ricompense, restando però vari e divertenti.

    Data Evento Descrizione
    21-23 gennaio Richiamo dello Scarabeo Per celebrare il primo suono emesso dal Gong dello Scarabeo, il 23 gennaio 2006, sarà possibile rivivere una parte dell'evento dell'apertura delle Porte di Ahn'qiraj raccogliendo crediti da consegnare. La fazione che ne accumulerà di più potrà poi vantarsi del risultato e issare la propria bandiera sui cancelli fino al successivo evento del Richiamo dello Scarabeo.
    23 febbraio Schiusa degli Ippogrifi Chi si dirige a Feralas potrà assistere alla schiusura annuale delle uova di ippogrifo. Potreste addirittura farvi un nuovo amico.
    5 aprile Marcia dei Girini Ogni anno, i Murloc Pinnafredda lasciano che i loro girini scorrazzino liberi nel villaggio. Potete fare la differenza adottando quello che più vi piace, nutrendolo e proteggendolo dai predatori.
    28 aprile Giornata della Guardia Mettetevi nei panni di una guardia nelle città più importanti con il comando /militare, per servire e proteggere la cittadinanza. Restate vigili e attenti agli invasori.
    10-12 maggio Festival delle Mongolfiere Molti dei personaggi di Azeroth, alcuni dei quali riconoscerete sicuramente, si sono offerti di organizzare giri panoramici in mongolfiera su tutto il continente. Vi faranno da ciceroni, e senz'altro vi divertirete a interagire con gli altri cittadini mentre vi godete il panorama.
    27 maggio Festival dei Cappaluce A Sporeggar, nelle Paludi di Zangar, potrete raccogliere funghi rari e aiutare gli Sporiani a guarire il grande fungo Fongu. Aiutando gli Sporeggar, aumenterete la vostra reputazione con loro.
    6-8 giugno Mille Barche A Millepicchi c'è la più grande festa navale di Azeroth. È l'occasione giusta per rilassarsi, lontano dai pericoli incombenti della Legione Infuocata.
    10-12 agosto Follia a Un'Goro I dinosauri di Un'Goro sono impazziti. Date il vostro contributo per placare questa follia e otterrete alcuni benefici evolutivi temporanei.

    Queste festività sono solo l'inizio. Presto ne aggiungeremo altre, anche dopo la patch, quindi tenete gli occhi aperti!

    Come annunciato durante la Blizzcon 2016, la patch 7.1.5 segnerà il ritorno del Circolo dei Combattenti! Il periodo di chiusura è servito per dare una sistemata al club, oltre ovviamente a reclutare nuovi sfidanti e coniare l'Oro dei Combattenti, la nuova valuta di scambio per le ricompense del Circolo. Per tutti i dettagli, ecco il bluepost:

    Blizzard Entertainment ha scritto

    Dopo una breve pausa, necessaria per riprendersi dalle ferite e dalle ossa rotte, la serie di combattimenti più amata da tutti è tornata.

    Una manciata di nuovi combattenti sta per giungere in città, ed è arrivato il momento di farvi strada con la forza in cerca di gloria e fantastici premi.

    Partiamo dall'inizio

    Quando la Legione Infuocata ha invaso Azeroth alla Riva Dispersa, gli organizzatori del Circolo dei Combattenti hanno partecipato alla resistenza e, nel trambusto della battaglia, hanno perso il foglio degli invitati. Per questo motivo, tutti gli inviti precedentemente validi sono stati annullati, e per partecipare nuovamente dovrete presentare un Invito Macchiato di Sangue.

    Questo nuovo invito, che consente l'accesso al Circolo dei Combattenti a livello account per tutti i personaggi, si può ottenere completando spedizioni o all'interno delle casse emissario. Se non vedete l'ora di ottenere un invito, potete affrontare i Vrykul élite che vivono sull'isola di Riposo dello Scudo a Stromheim.

    Fatti avanti

    Scalare la classifica delle sfide nel Circolo dei Combattenti significa affrontare i boss uno contro uno, salire di grado e poi affrontarne di nuovi a ogni aumento di livello.

    Ecco alcuni esempi delle nuove sfide che vi attendono:

    9N85THYEIV0O1481333873131.jpg

    Il Maestro Paku vi sfida a stare calmi e gnam gnam gnam..

    O7W8DGGFSAQ81481333873088.jpg

    Fermi! Che nessuno si muova! È Ogrewatch. Certo, gli eroi non muoiono mai, ma potrete trascendere soltanto calando il martello! Via con le bombe! Adesso siamo tutti Ogre.

    8ZA5QZB6233E1481333873086.jpg

    Ash'katzuum vuole essere il migliore e catturarle tutte!

    Punta all'oro!

    Tra le novità del Circolo dei Combattenti troviamo l'Oro dei Combattenti, una valuta ottenibile vincendo scontri o completando missioni. Potrete usarla per acquistare un sacco di oggetti interessanti, condivisibili con tutti i membri della vostra gilda. Uno di questi oggetti è la Statuetta Angelica Insanguinata, che vi dà accesso a un cimitero all'interno del Circolo dei Combattenti, ideale per tornare in azione in men che non si dica dopo una sconfitta. Tra gli altri oggetti troviamo:

    • Buono per Bevuta Gratis: perché tutti amano bere gratis.
    • Borsa di Dadi Scheggiati: abilita l'accesso alla modalità Rissa Casuale per i successivi 30 minuti, dandovi la possibilità di combattere contro uno sfidante casuale. Combatterete contro Bruce o Ahoo'ru? L'idolo della folla Hexos o il terrificante Gabbiano? La modalità Rissa Casuale è l'unico modo per accedere ad alcuni boss, e si dice che da alcuni di loro potreste depredare delle nuove camicie.
    • Prenotazione del Privé: tutti possono entrare nel Privé se siete voi ad aprire le porte.
    • Contratto da Scommettitore: abilita l'accesso alle scommesse, che vi consentono di scommettere sul vincitore del combattimento successivo per avere la possibilità di vincere Oro del Combattente. Chi emergerà vittorioso, il mostro o il giocatore? Io scommetterei sul mostro.

    Vi è mai capitato di provare una voglia irrefrenabile di gettarvi nella mischia mentre assistevate a uno scontro? Ora potete, con le Carte Rissa! Acquistabili con l'Oro dei Combattenti, le Carte Rissa permettono a chiunque attualmente in coda di salire sul ring e affrontare insieme una serie di boss differenti. Questa modalità include la Battaglia della Birra, Impeto di Pinguini e Senya, l'affamatissimo ippopotamo. Buona fortuna!

    Un nuovo carico di ricompense

    I combattenti non combattono soltanto per l'onore e la gloria. A dire il vero non combattono proprio per l'onore. Non sappiamo neanche perché l'abbiamo menzionato, sono le ricompense che contano! Tra i nuovi premi del Circolo dei Combattenti troviamo:

    • Cavalcatura Basilisco Massiccio dei Combattenti
    • Anello del Pugile Combattente (vi teletrasporta all'Arena o al Circolo dei Combattenti)
    • Nuove camicie e imprese
    • Tylarr Covagronn (nuova mascotte da combattimento)

    Tylarr Covagronn, che nome fantastico, non è vero? Viene voglia di ripeterlo ancora e ancora. Tylarr Covagronn. Tylarr Covagronn. Tylarr Covagronn!

    E ricordate sempre l'ultima regola del Circolo dei Combattenti: se questa è la vostra prima volta al Circolo dei Combattenti, dovete combattere!

    Ornyx ci informa che la prossima incursione, Rocca della Notte, sarà disponibile il 18 Gennaio per i reami europei! Ovviamente si inizierà come tradizione con le difficoltà Normale ed Eroica, per poi sbloccare la versione Mitica e Ricerca delle Incursioni nelle settimane successive.

    Ornyx ha scritto

    As the holidays approach, we wanted to take a chance to share some information on an upcoming raid tuning adjustment as well as the release date for Nighthold.

    Trial of Valor will see a set of tuning adjustments next week, focused mainly on Heroic and Mythic difficulty, which should help groups overcome the challenges of the Trial as they prepare for Nighthold.

    Which brings us to the release date for Nighthold itself: We are aiming to unlock Normal and Heroic Nighthold on January 17, 2017. Raid Finder wings and Mythic difficulty will release during the weeks following, which we will share more specific details on at a later time.

    We look forward to seeing you in the Nighthold!

Ecco i dettagli:

    Ritorno a Pandaria

    • 2 nuove mascotte: Cucciolo Infinito (Dragoide) e Spirito Paradossale (Acquatico)

    Adattamento di livello

    Proprio come accade già negli altri eventi bonus per i Viaggi nel Tempo, i vostri poteri saranno scalati a un livello adatto ad affrontare ogni spedizione in modalità Eroica. Sconfiggendo i boss dei Viaggi nel Tempo di Mists of Pandaria, riceverete un bottino che scalerà in base al livello, fino a un valore massimo di livello oggetti pari a 830, in linea con l'equipaggiamento presente nelle spedizioni di Legion.

    Gli scontri con Yan-Zhu lo Sbarilato nel Birrificio Triplo Malto o Taran Zhu nel Monastero degli Shandaren metteranno ancora una volta a dura prova l'abilità del vostro gruppo.

    Il CM Lore è tornato a parlare dei cambiamenti in arrivo per il sistema dei Leggendari di Legion. Le modifiche verteranno sul bilanciare il potere di questi oggetti, specialmente in tre modi:
    • Un Leggendario situazionale sarà estremamente potente nelle, appunto, situazioni per cui è stato progettato;
    • Un Leggendario sempre utile sarà sempre meno potente di quelli situazionali;
    • Non ci saranno più Leggendari sia situazionali che sempre utili.

    Lore ha scritto

    As we mentioned this during the live Q&A last week, we feel the biggest shortcoming of the current Legendary system is that, for some specs, there are some items that are clearly better than others in nearly all situations. As a result, players who have received a different Legendary item feel unlucky, as they didn’t receive the “best” one.

    So, we’re making some fairly substantial changes to Legendary items intended to bring them more in line with each other. Items that give a raw throughput increase (without significant situational restrictions or drawbacks) are having their overall power reduced, and we’re taking another pass at several of the more niche items to make sure that, when they’re usable, they feel powerful.

    Essentially, we feel that if a Legendary is only usable in certain situations, it should feel extremely valuable in those situations. Conversely, if a Legendary is nearly always going to increase your overall performance, that increase should be relatively smaller. Up until this point, we’ve made the mistake of allowing several items to be both extremely impactful AND always useful, which has made other Legendaries feel “bad” by comparison. It’s also caused some specs to feel as though they need a particular Legendary in order to compete. Those are the issues we’d like to solve.

    We’re actively working on these changes right now and expect to have them ready for the next PTR build. We’ll be doing additional class tuning where necessary as a followup, once these changes are in place.

    Durante il Q&A di ieri sera Ion Hazzikostas ha fatto chiarezza sui futuri cambiamenti alle Classi e sulle modifiche ai leggendari.

    Bilanciamento delle Classi

    • I bilanciamenti delle Classi in arrivo con la 7.1.5 sono il risultato dei cambiamenti radicali che sono avvenuti con Legion. Alcune classi sono state smembrate e ricostruite in una forma completamente nuova che ha portato ad alcuni errori. Il Team non voleva aspettare la prossima espansione per correggerli;
    • Gli Stregoni soffrono di alcune problematiche che influenzano tutte le Specializzazioni. La Specializzazione Afflizione subirà delle modifiche alle meccaniche e ai numeri;
    • Il team sta lavorando sul bilanciamento del Cacciatore di Demoni per non rendere il talento Momentum "obbligatorio";
    • C'è più varietà di scelta di quanto possa trasparire guardando le Guide delle varie Classi;
    • Il team non ha ancora raggiunto un risultato soddisfacente per il bilanciamento del Paladino nella 7.1.5, continuerà quindi a lavorarci per riuscire ad ottenere un design migliore;
    • Il Cacciatore Precisione di Tiro soddisfa in gran parte gli obbiettivi che il team si era dato.

    Oggetti Leggendari

    • È una buona cosa che gli oggetti Leggendari non siano sempre la soluzione migliore per ogni situazione;
    • Un Leggendario che migliora il vostro Danno ad Area non è ovviamente una buona scelta per una situazione a target singolo;
    • Il team continuerà a lavorare sui Leggendari in modo che chi non ne possieda uno non venga escluso in automatico;
    • Alcune abilità dei leggendari in un futuro potrebbero forse diventare abilità proprie della Classe.

    Varie

    • I caricamenti lunghi sono un problema che affligge tutti i giocatori e questo rende difficile capirne la causa;
    • Il team potrebbe rendere alcune fonti di Reputazione al livello massimo legate all'account per aiutare i propri Alts;
    • Il prossimo Q&A sarà poco dopo le vacanze, probabilmente poco prima del rilascio della patch.

    Per un elenco più dettagliato e completo di quello che è stato detto, link a MMOChampion.

    • Definire e bilanciare il livello oggetti come indicatore principale per decidere come migliorare il proprio equipaggiamento;
    • L'importanza di Anelli e Collane, e delle caratteristiche che incrementano. Ora il livello oggetti aumenterà di più le statistiche su questi oggetti;
    • Le modifiche non diminuiranno la potenza del personaggio, ma cambierà come si raggiungerà questo livello di potere. Le statistiche primarie saranno più importanti e alla fine dei test i giocatori avranno uguale o maggior potenza rispetto a prima.

    Inoltre fa presente che, come sempre, tutto quello che viene dedotto dal datamining del PTR non è la versione finale e/o aggiornata delle modifiche in arrivo, quindi occhio alla conclusioni affrettate.

    Lore ha scritto

    The changes to secondary stat ratings in 7.1.5 have a few goals, and certain pieces are not yet in the current build.

    Goal 1: Increase the importance of item level as a guideline for upgrading items. Moreso than in the past, large item level increases are not a reliable indicator of an upgrade due to the variance in power of secondary stats on an item. Increasing the amount of rating that you need per percentage of a secondary stat tips the balance of an item’s power more heavily toward primary stat. We’re okay with very small item level upgrades being a tougher choice, but some specs are currently passing up 15+ item levels in favor of secondary stats. That shouldn’t be something players are encouraged to do – with the occasional exception on rings and necks, which brings us to our second goal.

    Goal 2: Improve rings and necks. The removal of primary stats from those slots on Legion gear means that your choices of secondary stats there are impactful, which we like. However, they still suffer from the problem of secondary stat distribution dominating the choice of which item to equip. We’ve increased how heavily item level affects the amount of stats on Legion rings and necks in 7.1.5, which will make significant item level jumps a clearer indicator of an upgrade on these slots. You’ll still find situations in which secondary stat choice is more important than item level for rings and necks, which is intentional; we’re just dialing it back a bit.

    Goal 3: Don’t lower player power. This is a key part of the overall strategy that isn’t yet complete. Right now, on the PTR, player power is definitely down a few percent compared to live. The next build will have changes that increase the total amount of stats given by all items above level 800 to account for this gap, such that the overall power of your equipped items should be about the same (if not slightly higher) than it is currently in 7.1.

    As you might expect, these changes will affect some classes more strongly than others. More overall character power will come from your primary stats than it did before, so all of your abilities will hit harder, even if they crit less or happen less frequently. Additionally, as we continue tuning for Patch 7.1.5, we’ll make adjustments as necessary on a spec-by-spec basis.

    Nuovi Contenuti

    • La Patch 7.1.5 arriverà sul PTR la prossima settimana;
    • Da mercoledì gli oggetti ottenuti nell'Incursione Prova del Valore subiranno un aumento di 5 punti del proprio Livello Oggetto;
    • Il Livello degli Oggetti delle Normal verrà alzato a 825;
    • Argus sarà il fulcro della 7.3, e non ci sarà nessuna fase di levelling in quanto non è un'espansione;
    • La Patch conterrà molte cose da fare, tra cui quest, incursioni e altre attività;
    • Rocca della Notte sarà aperta a metà/fine Gennaio;
    • La patch 7.2 e l'incursione Tomba di Sargeras arriveranno più tardi (forse in primavera).

    Oggetti Leggendari

    • Verranno introdotti nuovi Leggendari con l'uscita dell'Incursione Rocca della Notte;
    • I vecchi Leggendari potranno essere potenziati tramite un oggetto particolare mentre quelli nuovi saranno già potenziati;
    • Alcuni Leggendari verranno "nerfati" come i bracciali del Mago specializzazione Fuoco e del Cavaliere della Morte specializzazione Empietà;
    • Da mercoledì tutti i Leggendari diventeranno di Livello Oggetto 910.

    Classi e Statistiche

    • I rework di una classe sono in genere attuati quando si passa da un'espansione all'altra, nel mezzo il team lavora perlopiù sui talenti, statistiche secondarie e piccoli cambiamenti alle meccaniche;
    • Spesso il team riceve lamentele su certe specializzazioni che vengono percepite come deboli, anche quando dati alla mano non lo sono;
    • Un esempio è il Monaco Mastro Birraio, che viene considerato non ottimale quando secondo le statistiche è alla pari con gli altri, o superiore se giocato in maniera corretta. Il punto è che questo tank funziona in maniera differente e questo non viene capito da molti curatori, che pensano di non riuscire a sostenere il Mastro Birraio;
    • Quindi in questo caso il team dovrebbe rendere estremamente potente la specializzazione solo per un problema di percezione?
    • Lo Sciamano Elementale è un osservato speciale;
    • Con la 7.1.5 ci saranno molti cambiamenti alle classi. Probabilmente sarà una caratteristica delle patch x.x.5;
    • Le statistiche secondarie sono sempre un problema da bilanciare, specialmente se vengono considerate migliori di quelle primarie;
    • Alcuni cambiamenti su queste statistiche arriveranno proprio con la 7.1.5;

    Arte, modelli e Cavalcature
    • Le diverse varianti degli Artefatti non scompariranno con Legion e saranno comunque ottenibili una volta terminata l'espansione;
    • Arriverà prima o poi un sistema per evitare che le varianti nascoste degli Artefatti siano non ottenibili a causa di troppa sfortuna;
    • I modelli del Ghoul e dell'Elementale dell'Acqua sono in lizza per un aggiornamento;
    • Non tutte le specializzazioni avranno varianti delle cavalcature epiche di classe;
    • Le diverse cavalcature sono tali se c'è una ragione. Ad esempio, il tema di un Cacciatore non cambia troppo fra spec e spec;

    PvP, Gruppo Rapido
    • Nessun nuovo Campo di Battaglia previsto;
    • Ci si è concentrati sul restyling di quelli vecchi e sulle Risse PvP;
    • Un hotfix disabilitàer il suono delle notifiche per il Gruppo Rapido;
    • C'è stato molto feedback negativo per questo sistema, stanno pensando alle modifiche;

    Varie
    • I segreti nascosti e puzzle introdotti con Legion sono stati accolti molto bene;
    • Kosumoth è stato sicuramente il più interessante e riuscito;
    • Di contro, ottenere alcune variazioni nascoste dell'Artefatto è al momento frustrante;
    • Ci sono ancora alcuni segreti non ancora svelati;
    • Gli Scontri fra Mascotte sono qualcosa che il team continua ad aggiornare, con Missioni Mondiali ed Imprese;
    • Spedizioni per Mascotte sono in discussione per il futuro;
    • La Casa d'Aste riceverà ulteriori miglioramenti, in modo da non dover usare l'addon;

    Ion Hazzikostas sale sul palco per discutere del futuro prossimo di Warcraft. Ecco cosa è stato detto:

    Filosofia delle Patch
    • Per raggiungere l'obiettivo di un flusso costante di contenuti è stato necessario cambiare le dimensioni delle patch e la loro concezione.
    • Ci sono state patch grandi, medie e piccole. Un esempio di quest'ultimo tipo è stata la patch 6.2.3, che è stata molto efficace. Un'altra buona patch, di dimensioni medie, era la 7.1

    Immagine

    Patch 7.1.5
    • È una piccola patch secondo gli standard di Legion, ovvero miglioramenti del sistema oppure per introdurre contenuti che non ce l'hanno fatta per patch medie o grandi;
    • Questa patch introdurrà i Viaggi nel Tempo per Pandaria per tutte le sue spedizioni;
    • Un esempio di contenuto sempre attuale e interessante;
    • Riapre la Brawler's Guild, con dozzine di nuovi boss!
      • Vengono aggiunte le Rumbles, ovvero delle battaglie contro dei boss simili a quelli dei raid
      • Nuova valuta: Brawler's Gold, per comprare bonus per la Brawler's Guild oppure altri tipi di ricompense;
      • Alcune ricompense saranno nuove magliette e una cavalcatura basilisco;
    • La 7.1.5 introdurrà le Micro-Holidays:
      • Delle festività composte da eventi più piccoli e meno impegnativi;
      • Niente ricompense, solo ambientazione
      • Ad esempio: Ahn'Qiraj Rememberance day (22 Gennaio) ci sarà un raduno a Silithus per celebrare l'evento. Le due fazioni competeranno per avere l'onore di coprire Ahn'Qiraj con i propri colori;
      • Volunteer Guard Day: sostituire le guardie cittadine per mantenere in ordine le strade delle capitali;
      • Hatching of the Hyppogryphs: accompagnare cuccioli di ippogrifi;
      • Boat Day: semplicemente riposo degli eroi, sulle spiagge di Azeroth;
    • Aggiornamento grafico dell'arena delle Montagne Spinaguzza, il Circolo del Sangue. Inoltre avrà un annunciatore esclusivo;
    • Aggiornamenti delle Classi:
      • Non solo bilanciamento, ma uno sguardo più in profondità in base ai dati e feedback ricevuto nei due mesi passati;
      • Migliorare la diversità dei talenti;
      • Peso delle statistiche secondarie;
      • "Sensazione della classe" e della sua rotation;
      • Reintroduzione di alcune abilità di utility o di introdurne di nuove;
    • Questa patch uscirà sul PTR alla fine della BlizzCon;

    Immagine

    Patch 7.2
    • La patch 7.2 è intitolata "La Tomba di Sargeras";
    • Ritorneremo alla Riva Infranta, preparandoci a sbarcare le nostre forze;
    • I giocatori potranno decidere quali strutture costruire per la testa di ponte, sbloccando le missioni disponibili e certi bonus;
    • Continuazione della campagna dell'Enclave di Classe;
    • Nuove Missioni Mondiali;
    • Nuova fazione: Armies of the Legionfall;
    • Assalti nelle Isole Disperse:
      • Nelle altre zone delle Isole Disperse ci saranno degli Assalti della Legione, simili a quelli dell'evento pre-espansione;
      • Questi eventi disabilitano le altre Missioni Mondiali della zona, introducendo quelle necessarie a respingere la Legione;
      • Alla fine dell'Assalto, si dovrà accedere ad uno scenario da tre giocatori che ci permetterà di distruggere le navi volanti della Legione e terminare l'assedio;
    • La patch 7.2 renderà disponibile la seconda parte dell'Impresa Pathfinder delle Isole Disperse, sbloccando il volo una volta completata.
    • Solo contenuto mondiale per terminare l'impresa, sblocca il volo per tutto l'account;
    • Introduzione delle Cavalcature Epiche di Classe;

    • Nuova Incursione: la Tomba di Sargeras (sic!);
      • Con tutti i cinque pilastri, dovremo chiudere il portale della Legione;
      • Sempre più in profondità nella Tomba, in zone sconosciute e terrificanti della struttura;
      • Oltre alla Legione, anche i Naga e presenze oscure;
      • Boss: i residui dell'Avatar di Sargeras, Kil'Jaeden!
    • Nuova spedizione: Cathedral of the Eternal Night:
      • Un tempio di Elune sconsacrato, che dovremo purificare e liberare;
      • Quattro boss disponibili;
      • I nemici saranno abitanti del tempio corrotti o membri della Legione;
    • Nuova modalità del PvP - Risse:
      • Ormai avete capito;
      • Variazioni dei Campi di Battaglia classici o reintroduzioni di altri scontri pvp;
      • Esempio: due gruppi da raid in un'Arena, Gravità modificata, Bacino d'Arathi d'Inverno con minore visibilità;
      • Solo per divertimento e varietà;
    • Artefatti:
      • Nuovi tratti inediti;
      • Sarà possibile spendere per un 4° punto nei tratti minori;
      • Nuovi livelli di Conoscenza Artefatto insieme ad un sistema per ridurre i tempi per recuperare sugli alt;
      • Nuovi tipi di Reliquie che possono modificare due abilità;
      • Progresso della questline dell'Artefatto;
      • Un nuovo modello estetico per ogni Artefatto, ottenibile superando una sfida in solo difficile per specializzazione;

      • Nuova fisica per le armi e nuova forma-artefatto per il Druido Guardiano!
    • Aggiornamenti per le spedizioni:
      • Divisione di Ritorno a Karazhan in due istanze più piccole;
      • Nuovi descrittori per le Chiavi del Potere per le Mitiche+;
      • Quando arriverà? Sul PTR dopo il rilascio della patch 7.1.5;

    La fine di Legion non arriva con la 7.2, ma in futuro, con il viaggio verso Argus!

    any new adventures lie ahead in Legion, and Game Director Ion Hazzikostas explored some upcoming content updates in the World of Warcraft: Legion – What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2016.

    Delivering New Content

    One of the key goals for Legion is to make sure we’re delivering a steady stream of content throughout the expansion. We want to make sure there’s always something to look forward to. We also want to take better advantage of the very nature of MMOs by providing a living, breathing world, with things changing day-to-day or week-to-week, and offering a wide variety of content and new rewards.

    To accomplish this, we’re building our patch structure in Legion to deliver content updates of varying sizes. You’ll see everything from a small patch like 6.2.3, which added Cataclysm Timewalking and other features, to larger update like Patch 6.2: Fury of Hellfire, or something in-between like Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan—there’s no one size fits all approach.

    Looking into Patch 7.1.5

    Now that we’ve released patch 7.1, we’re preparing for our next patch, 7.1.5—one we’re considering a “small” patch. This kind of patch contains features like system updates, rewards, and evergreen content—things that aren’t tied to any overarching story.

    Here’s some of what you can expect in Patch 7.1.5:

    Timewalking in Pandaria

    Timewalking Dungeons are a good example of “evergreen” content. In this patch, we’ll be adding six Mists of Pandaria dungeons into the Timewalking cycle: Temple of Jade Serpent, Stormstout Brewery, Shado-Pan Monastery, Gate of the Setting Sun, Mogu’shan Palace, and Siege of Niuzao Temple.

    Brawler’s Guild Season 3

    The Brawler’s Guild closed their doors for renovations toward the end of Warlords of Draenor, but the staff is preparing to reopen for a new season.

    In Patch 7.1.5, we’re introducing dozens of new bosses to test your grit, along with adding a new challenge in the form of Rumbles, which will occasionally trigger and pull spectators into the action to take on a raid boss.

    Players will also be able to earn Brawler’s Gold to provide some additional communal benefits for fellow Brawlers and buy new awards for taking part in the event.

    Plus, there are shirts. Lots and lots of shirts.

    And a basilisk mount.

    Micro-Holidays

    Unlike holidays like Winter Veil, which run multiple weeks, “micro-holidays” offer brief, holiday-style events with new activities for players to take part in. For example, the citizens of Azeroth might be invited to celebrate a specific moment in their history for just a single day. These events are meant to be activities players can participate in for fun, rather than for game-changing rewards.

    With Patch 7.1.5, we’ll be rolling out a variety of micro-holidays with the intent of adding more to them over time. Each one is meant to make the world feel more alive without making players feel like they need to participate for big rewards—while still providing some more variety and fun.

    Blade’s Edge Arena Update

    Much like the update to Nagrand Arena, we thought it was time to do a little redecorating in Blade’s Edge Mountain Arena. While we’re happy with the way this map plays, we’ve added a shiny new coat of paint so it looks more consistent with the rest of the world—and we’re introducing a new fun feature. Your battles in Blade’s Edge will now be “shoutcast” by an ogre announcer, who will call out events of particular importance. We look forward to seeing how that turns out.

    Class Updates

    Legion featured one of our biggest class overhauls yet, and since launch we’ve been listening to feedback from the community and making balance adjustments—but we’ve been somewhat limited in terms of what we could change in our hotfixes and first patch. Most of the changes up to this point have been constrained to hotfix-based numerical tuning. Patch 7.1.5 is when we’re really trying to tackle some of the broader class issues.

    We’re taking a look at are talent rows, so we can increase the diversity of talents. For example, in the Barrage row for Marksman Hunters, it feels like there is only one option in the row that you must take regardless of your play style. There’s room for fine-tuning, and we to make it so everyone feels like they can customize their character to their liking.

    We’re also looking at the relative weightings of secondary stats such as Haste, Mastery, and Crit. These are often pretty disparate for different specs and this disparity can sometimes make it feel as if an item that should be an upgrade with a higher item level isn’t as desirable as we would like. We want to make sure the gaps between best and worst aren’t so large that they distort gameplay. We’re going to be making a lot of efforts toward that end in patch 7.1.5.

    This patch also allows us to make some tweaks to specific rotations, look at how things have played out since Legion, and find where there’s room to improve the overall fluidity and feel of the different specs.

    And More!

    Patch 7.1.5 will arrive on the Public Test Realm in the near future.

    Patch 7.2: The Tomb of Sargeras

    BFETCPMZN64S1478033732548.jpg

    If patch 7.1.5 is a small patch, what exactly is a “big” patch? In this case, it’s Patch 7.2: The Tomb of Sargeras. This patch introduces larger pieces of content which include a new raid, the continuation of the Class Order Campaign, and much more.

    Return to the Broken Shore

    The demonic forces of the Burning Legion have built massive structures on the Broken Shore as a base of operations for their assault on Azeroth. It’s here that the Horde and the Alliance experienced a series of tragedies at the hands of the Legion. Now that they’ve regrouped, acquired their new weapons of power, and recruited new allies, it’s time to make a triumphant return.

    Where factions failed, the Class Orders will succeed. Each class will continue their Class Order Campaign on the Broken Shore, and a new faction will be introduced: the Armies of Legionfall. Players will take part in helping build the Legionfall base to establish the initial foothold on the island, then work their way through the Legion’s defenses and eventually reach the stronghold.

    To do this, the Class Orders will need to work together build up their forces by fortifying ancient elven buildings and upgrading them into one of three buildings—Nether Disruptor, Command Center, or Mage Tower—which will provide additional benefits.

    Players will also discover new World Quests on the Broken Shore—along with other new challenges.

    Legion Assaults

    VLOGX13RARHQ1478033732576.jpg

    Remember the Legion invasions across Azeroth prior to the expansion’s launch? As the fight against the Legion intensifies, new assaults will be unleashed within the various zones of the Broken Isles, and heroes will be implored to thwart them once again. As the assaults intensify, the battle will culminate in a new three-player scenario that takes the fight to the Legion ships above.

    Flying!

    If you haven’t been working your way through Broken Isles Pathfinder Part One, make sure you’re well on your way before the introduction of Part Two. Once players have earned this achievement, they’ll be rewarded with Broken Isles Flying account-wide.

    What’s even better than flying over the Broken Isles? Flying over them on your own new epic class mount! By completing the Broken Shore campaign and maxing out your Legionfall reputation, you’ll be rewarded a mount that’s unique to your class as a symbol of your dedication to defeating the Legion.

    New Raid Zone: Tomb of Sargeras

    TFK6N57KWPCF1478033732541.jpg

    On the opposite end of the Broken Shore, the Tomb of Sargeras lies in wait. Formerly the Temple of Elune, this raid dungeon will contain nine new bosses to conquer. After gaining the fifth Pillar of Creation—the Eye of Aman’Thul—from within the Nighthold, you’ll descend into the depths of the tomb and use the pillars to seal the portal through which the Legion entered Azeroth.

    New Dungeon: Cathedral of Eternal Night

    It’s been some time since we’ve added a new dungeon in a patch, so we thought it was about time. Patch 7.2 also features a new four-boss dungeon: Cathedral of Eternal Night. While the raid descends into the tomb, the dungeon ascends into the upper reaches of the spire. You’ll use the Aegis of Aggramar to open the rest of the tomb.

    PvP Brawls

    Inspired by other Blizzard games’ Brawl modes, Battleground Brawls will alter the typical rulesets in Battlegrounds. A new Brawl will be available weekly, which will add variety to the gameplay and give players some fun new activities to check out. Here are a few examples:

    • Southshore vs. Tarren Mill – Dive into this classic large-scale game of team deathmatch.
    • Instant-Cap Warsong Gulch – You don’t need to protect your own flag. Just grab and go!

    Artifact Updates

    Artifact weapons are one of the major features of the expansion, with many players increasing their Artifact Knowledge, unlocking new traits, and customizing the looks of their weapons to suit their characters. As a part of Patch 7.2, we’re making a few new system updates to go along with all that.

    The first of these updates is the addition of new Artifact traits that can be earned and unlocked via a new Artifact campaign, which you can embark on once you’ve maxed out your Artifact weapon. There will be at least three new traits per weapon, and you can unlock the ability to spend a fourth point on every existing minor trait on your weapon. There will be approximately 15 new traits for players to earn and spend to upgrade and customize their character.

    There will also be new Artifact Knowledge levels to make sure there are adequate catch-up mechanics for those who switch between characters, have alts, or are just coming into the expansion a bit late.

    For additional variety and customization, we’re adding new relics that modify two Artifact traits instead of just one, so that players can further guide the direction they want their character to progress.

    Beyond unlocking new traits, the new Artifact campaign will provide an opportunity for players to show mastery of their class with a solo skill challenge, which will unlock a new appearance for their chosen spec weapon. These appearances have been inspired by previous class questlines that led to weapons like Anathema/Benediction, and Rhok’delar. No grouping required—or allowed—and completing the challenge will reward a truly distinctive appearance.

    Dungeon Updates

    Even as we’re adding new dungeons, we’re also working to keep dungeons relevant through the entirety of the expansion.

    Karazhan offers an opportunity for Mythic Keystones, but at nine bosses, it’s a bit large to fit within the Keystone structure. To address this, we’re splitting the dungeon into Upper and Lower Karazhan. There will be two separate four-boss sections that will fit into the system alongside existing dungeons and the new Cathedral of Eternal Night dungeon. This will bring the total of Mythic Keystone dungeons to 12.

    To make sure all Mythic Keystone dungeons are kept relevant, we’ll also bump up the baseline difficulty, along with increasing the item rewards. To go along with this, we’ll also be experimenting with some new affixes on Keystones.

    Players will get to see Patch 7.2: The Tomb of Sargeras on the PTR some time after the launch of Patch 7.1.5.
