    On Friday, January 29, we will continue our Legion Alpha raid testing of Heroic encounters.

    Remember that Heroic difficulty scales for any group size between 10 and 30 players, so feel free to assemble and bring a group of any size within that range. Our general plan is to test every encounter on Heroic difficulty first, and then test sections of the raid on Normal and Raid Finder, alongside targeted Mythic tests.

    As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of an alpha environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the boss being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

    Q: How do I get into the raid zone?

    A: In Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade Sr. in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)

    Q: What character should I use to test the raid?

    A: Whichever you prefer. We will be scaling players' effective level to 110 for raid testing, and their item level to an appropriate threshold for the encounter(s) being tested.

    Q: How long does testing last?

    A: The primary purpose of testing is to give us the information we need to balance the encounters, evaluate how mechanics are playing out in practice, and identify bugs. Once we're satisfied that we've received that information for a given boss, we'll be shutting down testing. Usually this takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, but there are no guarantees.

    Nythendra was once a member of the Green Dragonflight charged with guarding the world tree, Shala'drassil. When Xavius' corruption of the Nightmare consumed Shala'drassil the sleeping guardian also fell to his corruption. Nythendra is now nothing more than a skeletal version of herself, swarming in pestilence, ready to devour anyone or anything foolish enough to enter her lair.

    Spell Icon The Plagued Dreamer: Nythendra's abilities cause the target to become Infested. (Heroic, Mythic)
    Infested: Inflicts 10000 Plague damage every 0.3 sec. This effect stacks.

    In Mythic difficulty, at 10 stacks of Infested, players contract Infested Mind.
    (Heroic, Mythic)
    Infested Mind: Nythendra's infesatation takes control of a player, causing them to cast Spread Infestation periodically.
    Dealing sufficient damage to the mind-controlled player will break the effect. (Mythic)
    Spread Infestation: Inflicts 316875 to 333125 Plague damage to all players. (Mythic)
    Infested Ground: Creates an area of corruption that inflicts 100000 Plague damage every 1 sec and reduces movement speed by 20% to anyone within the area.
    Infested Breath: Nythendra breathes clouds of poisonous insects inflicting 160875 to 169125 Plague damage every sec for 5 sec.
    In addition, the breath corrupts the area creating pockets of Infested Ground.
    Rot: Infliting 243750 to 256250 Plague damage to all enemies within 10 yards every 3 sec for 9 sec.
    Upon expiring, the corruption bursts from the target creating areas of Infested Ground.
    Volatile Rot: Inflicts up to 800000 Plague damage to all allies after 8 sec sec. Allies farther from the detonation take less damage.
    In addition, the explosion also forms several patchs of Infested Ground.
    Tail Lash: Inflicts 341250 to 358750 Physical damage to players in a cone behind her, knocking them back.
    Heart of the Swarm: The remaining insects swarming Nythendra slag to the ground. Periodically, a swarming insect swells with Nythendra's corrupting influence, growing to a large size, before bursting inflicting 195000 to 205000 Plague damage to all enemies within 10 yards.



    Overview: Skorpyron's lair is a constantly spawning chamber of scorpids, who join Skorpyron in battle during his Call of the Scorpid ability and also by proximity to players. Every 100 energy, Skorpyron casts Shockwave, a room-wide knockback, for which players need to take shelter behind Broken Shards, broken pieces of Skorpyron's Chitinous Exoskeleton.
    Damage Dealers:
    Take shelter behind broken Crystalline Fragments to protect yourself from [Shockwave].
    Break [Arcane Tether]s by moving away from the tether location.
    Take shelter behind broken Crystalline Fragments to protect yourself from [Shockwave].
    Break [Arcane Tether]s by moving away from the tether location.
    [Arcane Tether]s accrue during [Arcanoslash], and need to be broken to reduce damage taken.
    Take shelter behind broken shards to protect yourself from [Shockwave].
    Scorpid Spawning Grounds:
    Skorpyron resides in an active spawning grounds, continually creating scorpions which inhabit the space throughout the encounter.
    Crystalline Scorpid
    Energy Surge: Sends a shock of arcane magic at a target, inflicting 156750 to 173250 Arcane damage and an additional 15000 Arcane damage every half-second for 5 sec. This effect stacks.
    Volatile Scorpid (Heroic, Mythic)
    Scorpid Swarm: Causes nearby Scorpids to swarm, increasing damage done by 10% per Scorpid.
    Volatile Chitin: Volatile Chitin covers the Scorpid, exploding for 665000 to 735000 Fire damage to enemies within 15 yards upon death.
    Acidmaw Scorpid (Mythic)
    Toxic Chitin: The Scorpid's armor is coated in a heavy toxin, creating pools of Nature damage periodically and upon death.
    Shockwave: Expels pent up energy, smashing the ground and creating a shockwave which inflicts 390000 to 410000 Nature damage and knocks players back, destroying all Broken Shards. Players may stand behind Broken Shards to avoid Shockwave.
    Chitinous Exoskeleton: A chitinous exoskeleton of crystals cover the Scorpid, protecting it from damage, decreasing damage taken by 25%. As the Scorpid takes damage, the exoskeleton breaks apart, decreasing in potency.
    Exoskeletal Vulnerability: Breaking the Chitinous Exoskeleton stuns the Scorpid for 15 sec, increasing damage taken by 50%.
    Broken Shard: Exoskeletal pieces break off of the Scorpid from taking damage, inflicting 332500 to 367500 Arcane damage to all enemies upon impact. Standing behind these Broken Shards protect players from Shockwave.
    Call of the Scorpid: Lets out a resonating sound throughout the room, calling nearby Scorpids to aid in combat.
    Arcanoslash: Slashes all targets in a frontal 18 yard hemisphere, inflicting 341250 to 358750 Arcane damage. Targets become tethered near their location, suffering 22500 Arcane damage every second while within 10 yards of the tether. This effect stacks.
    Nether Discharge: Faces a targeted direction, discharging arcane energy, inflicting 760000 to 840000 Physical damage and stunning targets hit for 6 sec, increasing in duration for subsequent hits.

    Mi sembra di capire che quest'Alpha è in realtá una BETA a tutti gli effetti.
    Nel testing in un'Alpha, ne hanno mai fatti? in WoD mi risulta che li fecero solo nella BETA

    Non puoi definirla beta dato che molte spec per molte classi mancano, quindi non è un raid testing, provano solo che il boss esegua le meccaniche correttamente e che non si bugghi più del dovuto, nel caso qualcuno di voi fosse interessato streammerò l'intero test su:

    metterò anche i log su warcraftlogs così potete vedere quanto alcune classi sia mal bilanciate al momento.
