    • All players’ default Graphic Settings will be re-detected and reset following today’s patch, which may help to address a few performance issues that some players have been experiencing.
    • Smaller physical memory caps have been introduced for both the 32-bit and 64-bit clients with today’s update, which should mitigate some memory-related issues and make the 64-bit client a more trusted option, even for PCs with less physical RAM.
    • The “Network Spikes” indicator has been removed from the performance overlay (Ctrl + Alt + F).
      • Network Spikes tracked a number of different metrics at once. While it could indicate performance issues, the number of spikes displayed could also be affected by issues with the local player’s computer, among other things.
      • In order to avoid further confusion, the Network Spikes indicator has been removed, and will be replaced by additional performance metrics in a future update, which should help players better identify more common performance issues.

    New Battleground


    Tomb of the Spider Queen, a brand new 3-lane Battleground, has been added to Heroes of the Storm and is now available for play in all game modes!

    • Spider Minions and enemy Heroes will drop magical Gems of Power upon death.
      • Collect these Gems and turn them in to the Spider Queen’s Altars, which can be found in-between lanes at the center of the Battleground.
    • Once either team has relinquished enough Gems to the Spider Queen, her Webweavers will descend and travel down each lane to siege the opposing team on three fronts.
      • Each team can summon Webweavers by turning in 50 Gems. The number of required Gems will increase by 5 for each subsequent wave.
      • Be sure to turn in Gems promptly! Gems collected by a player will be dropped upon death, but can be picked up by allied Heroes.

    New Hero

    Sylvanas Windrunner has been added to Heroes of the Storm and is now available for play! Read on for a brief overview of her Abilities, and then check her out in Try Me Mode using the in-game Shop.

    • Basic Abilities
      • Withering Fire (Q)
        • Shoot the closest enemy for 25 damage, preferring Heroes. Stores 5 charges.
      • Shadow Dagger (W)
        • Deals 10 damage, and an additional 40 damage over 2 seconds, to target unit. This effect spreads to nearby units.
      • Haunting Wave (E)
        • Send forth a wave of banshees, dealing 30 damage to all targets. Reactivate to teleport to the banshees’ location.
    • Trait
      • Black Arrows
        • Basic Attacks and Abilities stun Minions, Mercenaries, and Towers.
    • Heroic Abilities
      • Wailing Arrow (R)
        • Shoot an arrow that explodes for 200 damage and silences enemies for 2.5 seconds. Can be reactivated to detonate the arrow early.
      • Possession (R)
        • Force an enemy Minion to fight for you. It gains 20% Attack Damage and Health.

    User Interface


    • Significantly reduced the likelihood that players will receive the same Battleground multiple times in a row when playing in matchmaking game modes.
    • Requesting to join a party through a party member who is not the leader will now send a notification to that player. Additionally, the party leader will see which party member a join request was made through.


    Progression System

    • Hero Progression
      • The maximum Hero Level has been increased from 10 to 20.
      • New rewards have been added:
        • 1250 Gold at Hero Level 15
        • 2500 Gold at Hero Level 20
    • Player Progression
      • New rewards have been added:
        • 7 Day Stimpack at Player Level 10
        • 2,000 Gold at Player Levels 20, 25, 30, 35, 40
        • Team League unlocked at Player Level 40
        • Players who had already reached or surpassed the level requirement for these rewards prior to today’s patch will also receive them upon logging in to Heroes of the Storm.


    Team League

    • Initial implementation for Team League, the second mode of Ranked play in Heroes of the Storm, has been added to the game! Read on for an overview of the most competitive game mode in Heroes of the Storm, and then check out our recent Team League blog post for a much more in-depth look at the feature.
      • With Team League, players can create named teams with dedicated rosters in order to participate in ranked, competitive Heroes of the Storm matches as a group against other teams of similar skill.
      • In order to participate in Team League, players must meet the following requirements:
        • Reach Level 40.
        • Own 10 or more Heroes (weekly free rotation Heroes do not count toward this requirement.)
        • Create or join a team that has at least five members logged in and ready to play in Team League.
    • Team Creation and Management
      • Navigate to the Team League Play Screen, click an empty team slot, enter a team name, and pay 1,000 Gold to create a new team.
        • Players may participate in up to 3 teams at any given time.
      • The Team League Screen will display all teams that a player is currently participating in, as well as each team’s current Rank, team name, and Win/Loss record.
        • Using the “Roster” button, a team owner may invite up to 8 other players to join the team’s roster.
        • In order to play Team League matches, five members from the same team must enter the queue together.
          • Use the “Invite” dropdown to invite other players from the roster to queue for Team League matches.
      • A “Ranked Teams” section has been added to the Player Profile.
        • Click on any team to view additional stats for each player on the roster, such as wins, losses, highest rank achieved, and favorite hero.
        • The team owner can also use this screen to add or remove members, as well as disband the team.
    • Draft Mode
      • Team League matches will use the “First Come, First Served” version of Draft Mode, rather than Hero League’s “Predetermined” Draft Mode.
        • With First Come, First Served Draft Mode, players on each team are free to select Heroes in any order when it is their team’s turn to pick.
        • A coin toss will still precede the draft phase, and teams will still alternate picking Heroes in 1-2-2-2-2-1 format.


    Menu Navigation

    • General
      • The menu navigation bar has been moved to the top of the screen.
      • The Party Panel has been reworked and once again displays Player Portraits for all party members.
      • Icons have been added next to the Party Panel, which more clearly indicate the current status of Stimpack and XP Bonuses.
      • Players who receive penalties for leaving Hero League and Quick Match games will now see their flagged status indicated to them in the menu navigation bar at the top of the screen.
        • Additionally, party members will now be better notified when they are partied with someone who has been flagged to receive penalties for leaving games early.
    • Home Screen
      • “Go to Shop” and “Try Hero” buttons have been added, which can be used to view information about the newest Hero or quickly start a game in Try Me Mode with that Hero directly from the Home Screen.
    • Shop Screen
      • Shop navigation tabs have been moved to the top of the screen.
      • A “Featured” tab has been added, which will display items that are new to the Shop, or are currently on sale.
    • Play Screen
      • The “Change Mode” button has been removed.
      • Game Mode buttons can now be found along the top edge of the Play Screen, and can be clicked to quickly switch among Game Modes.
      • Hero League
        • Heroes are now displayed on the Hero League Screen based on most wins, rather than most games played with those Heroes.
          • Click any Hero listed on the Hero League Screen to view it in the Player Profile.
      • Custom Games
        • The “Choose Map” button has been removed and Battlegrounds can now be selected directly from the Custom Games Screen.
        • A “Game Privacy” dropdown has been added to custom game lobbies. When a custom game is set to private, that game will not be recorded in players’ match histories.
    • End of Game Score Screens
      • The Rank, Quests, and Rewards tabs have been removed and incorporated into the Summary tab.
      • Summary
        • Player Level, Hero Level, and Rank progress bars have been visually reworked and reorganized on the Summary tab.
        • Daily Quest and progression rewards earned from the previous match are now displayed along the right edge of the Summary tab.
        • Hover the mouse over Daily Quest and progression rewards, as well as XP, Ranked Points, and Gold totals to display tooltips that indicate how each was earned during the previous match.
      • Stats
        • The Stats tab now mirrors the in-game TAB Screen, and includes details for Siege Damage, Hero Damage, Healing, and overall XP contribution during the previous match.


    Ranked Play and Draft Mode

    • Draft Mode Notification
      • While tabbed out of Heroes of the Storm during a ranked queue, the player will be tabbed back into the client and a notification sound will play when a match is found.
      • Additionally, players who tab out of the client after a draft begins will be notified and tabbed back in when it is their turn to pick a Hero.
    • Rank and Point Changes
      • The number of points earned from a ranked match will now vary more broadly based on skill difference between teams.
      • As mentioned in the Menu Navigation section above, ranks, rank changes, and ranked points earned during the previous match are now listed on the end of game Summary screen.


    Hero Select

    • Click the currently selected Hero’s 3D model to bring up Hero Select.
      • Filter buttons have been added which can be used to display Heroes by role and game universe.
      • A search box has been added which can be used to filter Heroes by name, difficulty, and game universe.
      • Icons have been added to indicate which game universe a Hero is from when mousing over that Hero’s portrait.
    • The Skins, Mounts, and Hero Info panes have been reworked.
      • The Hero Info pane has been replaced by two new buttons: Abilities and Talents.
        • The Abilities pane now lists Basic Abilities, Trait, and Heroic Abilities on a single tab.
          • Tooltips have been added which will display more detailed information about a Hero’s Abilities on mouseover.
        • The Talents pane lists all of a Hero’s Talents, much as it did previously.
      • The Skins and Mounts panes have received UI updates.
        • Each of these panes can now display many additional items.
        • Skin and Mount Variation buttons have been moved to the bottom of each pane.
      • The Skins, Mounts, Abilities, and Talents buttons have received updated art.



    • Many Hero Models have received minor animation and pose updates on Hero Select.


    • Various Battleground assets have received additional optimization to help improve performance.
    • The final Tutorial Battleground has received visual polish.

    Heroes, Mounts, and Skins

    • Legendary Skins
      • Mecha Tassadar has received massive updates and has been re-released as a Legendary Skin!
        • Mecha Tassadar will now, quite literally, transform into a fighter jet and fly across the battlefield while mounted.
        • What’s more, all of Mecha Tassadar’s Basic and Heroic Abilities have received brand new art, updated models, and visual effects which much more closely match the Skin’s theme.
    • Skins
      • Commander Raynor has received a significant model update. Among many other things, holster logic has been addressed.
      • Wrath Sonya has donned the Helm of Wrath, and now also wields Quel'serrar and Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood.
      • Several Hero Skins have received new art for certain Abilities and Talents, which more closely match that Skin’s theme:
        • Betrayer Malfurion -- Vengeful Roots (Talent)
        • Crown Prince Arthas -- Death Coil (Q), Army of the Dead (R)
        • Crypt King Tassadar -- Plasma Shield (Q)
        • Festival Li Li -- Blinding Wind (E)
        • Grunty Murky -- Slime (Q), Pufferfish (W), Spawn Egg (D), March of the Murlocs (R)
        • Master Lost Vikings --  Basic Attack projectiles
    • Heroes
      • Sonya’s Hero Select portrait has been updated.
      • Tychus’ head model has received visual updates.
      • Several Heroes and Skins have received improvements for their facial animations:

    • Hero Abilities
      • A portrait has been added that will display while The Lost Viking’s Longboat Raid (R) is active.

    • The Home Screen has received a facelift, and is now 3D animated.
    • The Hero Select screen has received completely new 3D art and visual effects!
    • Additionally, the Hero League Play Screen is now 3D animated!


    Bundle Packs

    • The Ranger-General Sylvanas Bundle Pack has been added to the in-game Shop for a limited time.


    • Sylvanas has been added to the in-game Shop!


    • The Cyber Wolf and Dire Wolf Mounts have been temporarily removed, but will return to the Shop with a future update.
    • The Lunar Tiger and Magic Carpet Mounts have been added as individually purchasable items.

    Price Changes

    • Anub’arak’s Real-money and Gold prices have been reduced to .49 USD and 4,000 Gold.


    • A Master Skin has been added for Sylvanas.
    • The Ranger-General Sylvanas Skin has been added to the in-game Shop.
    • Legendary Skins
      • Mecha Tassadar has received massive Art and Sound updates and has been re-released as the second Legendary Skin in Heroes of the Storm!
      • Head to the in-game Shop and start a Try Me Mode game with Mecha Tassadar to check out all of the changes he has received with today’s update.


    Heroes and Skins

    • The Mecha Tassadar Skin has received entirely new voiceover and sound effects to match its transformation into a Legendary Skin!
    • The Flying Monkey Brightwing Skin has received an entirely new monkey-themed voiceover set.

    Design and Gameplay


    • Several changes have been implemented which will prevent the cancellation of Ability casts when issuing Move commands, as well as when attempting to cast several Abilities in rapid succession.
      • Additionally, these changes will result in heightened input responsiveness for most Ability casts.
    • In-game XP Changes
      • The in-game leveling curve has been adjusted slightly to slow down the first 10 team levels, though the amount of XP required to reach level 20 remains the same. 


    Blackheart’s Bay

    • Doubloon Chest status bars are now segmented, and each segment represents when a Doubloon will spawn.

    Haunted Mines

    • The power difference between Lane Golems has been reduced in situations where there is a large skull-count disparity.
    • High skull-count Lane Golem Health has been slightly reduced.
    • The first round of Lane Golems have had their Health reduced.

    Garden of Terror

    • Movement Speed reduced to equal Hero Movement Speed
    • Overgrowth (W)
      • Overgrowth Health increased by 25%
      • Now receives additional Health bonuses past the 15 minute mark
      • Now deals 70 (+7 per minute) damage each tick to Minions and Mercenaries instead of 20% of their Maximum Health.  This is the same as the Structure damage.

    Sky Temple

    • Temple damage reduced by 10%


    • Mercenary initial and scaling XP has been reworked.
    • Mercenary Camp tooltips now indicate which Camps can be Bribed.


    • Gate, Tower, Town Hall, and Wall Health reduced by approximately 10%.


    New Generic Talent: Arcane Power (Level 20)

    • Activate to gain 400 mana and 15% Ability Power for 5 seconds. 60 second cooldown.
    • Currently found only on Jaina

    Blood for Blood

    • This Talent has received a visual update. It should now be much easier to identify both the target and caster of Blood for Blood.

    Healing Ward

    • Duration increased from 10 to 15 seconds
    • Heal amount reduced from 3% to 2% of max Health per second

    Ice Block

    • Cooldown reduced from 80 to 60 seconds
    • Now dims out affected Heroes’ status bars

    Scouting Drone

    • Now has 2 charges
    • Duration reduced from 60 to 45 seconds
    • Cooldown reduced from 60 to 45 seconds
    • Placement range increased from 3 to 4
    • The number of hits required to destroy a Scouting Drone have been increased from 1 to 2.



    • Toxic Nest (W)
      • Envenomed Nest (Talent)
        • Damage increased from 30% to 50%
      • Prolific Dispersal (Talent)
        • Now also reduces the cooldown of Toxic Nest by 2 seconds
      • Vile Nest (Talent)
        • Slow increased from 40% to 50%
    • Evolve Monstrosity (R)
      • The Monstrosity now persists until it is killed.
    • Ultimate Evolution (R)
      • Cooldown reduced from 80 to 70 seconds
      • Duration reduced from 30 to 20 seconds
      • Clones now gain 20% Ability Power, 20% Basic Attack Damage, and 10% Movement Speed.



    • Globe of Annihilation (Q)
      • Taste for Blood (Talent)
        • Now has a maximum damage cap of 500



    • Apocalypse (R)
      • Cooldown reduced from 120 to 100 seconds
    • Lightning Breath (R)
      • Diablo will now cast Lightning Breath in the direction of the cursor, rather than the direction he is facing at the time of the cast.



    • Fury of the Storm (Talent) replaced with Hardened Shield (Talent)

    • Barrel Roll (E)

      • Ultralisk controls now mirror Jaina's Water Elemental.
        • Press R and click the terrain to issue a Move command.
        • Press R and click a unit to issue an Attack command on that target.


    Li Li

    • Healing Brew (Q)
      • Will no longer heal Abathur’s Ultimate Evolution Clones or Nova’s Holo Decoys
    • Jug of 1,000 Cups (R)
      • Will no longer heal Abathur’s Ultimate Evolution Clones or Nova’s Holo Decoys



    • Health Regeneration increased from 5 (+0.125 per level) to 10 (+2.4 per level)
    • New Talent (Level 4): Living the Dream!
      • Grants 10% Ability Power, and an additional 1% Ability Power for every 5 seconds that Murky is alive, up to a total of 25% Ability Power. Resets upon death.
    • Spawn Egg (D)
      • Murky’s Egg no longer grants experience to the enemy team or counts as half of a normal Hero Death.
      • Cooldown reduced from 20 to 15 seconds
      • Egg Health increased from 105 (+15 per level) to 110 (+30 per level)
      • Assault Egg (Talent)
        • Bonus to Egg Health reduced from 200% to 150%
    • Slime (Q)
      • Slime's stacking damage now applies to Unstoppable units (such as the Grave Golem).
    • Pufferfish (W)

      • Initial health reduced from 1400 (+140 per level) to 600 (+220 per level)
      • The Gargantuan A.I. has been improved.
      • The Gargantuan no longer uses Stomp Ability automatically. Instead, Stomp can now be cast manually by pressing “R”, and has a 4.5 second cooldown.
    • Ravenous Spirit (R)
      • The Spirit’s area of effect  radius has been reduced by 25%.
      • Damage changed from 25 (+9 per level) to 30 (+8 per level)



    • Basic Attack
      • Damage increased from 35 (+11 per level) to 35 (+12 per level)


    Sgt. Hammer

    • Health reduced from 770 (+170 per level) to 720 (+140 per level)



    • Whirlwind (E)
      • Sonya can now use the following Activated Talents while Whirlwind is channeling:
        • Shot of Fury, Ferocious Healing, Nerves of Steel (formerly Stoneskin), and Ignore Pain (formerly Hardened Shield)
        • As part of this change, Stoneskin and Hardened Shield have been renamed to Nerves of Steel and Ignore Pain in order to help reflect that they are Sonya-specific versions of their Generic Talent counterparts.



    • Health reduced from 1060 (+260 per level) to 1060 (+230 per level)
    • Vile Gas (Trait)
      • Radius decreased by approximately 25%
      • Damage scaling decreased from +2 per level to +1.5 per level
      • Toxic Gas (Talent)
        • Radius increased from 25% to 50%
        • Damage over time effect duration reduced from 2 to 1 seconds
    • Slam (W)
      • Pulverize (Talent)
        • The stun and bonus damage components of this Talent have been removed.
        • Now reduces cooldown of Slam by 2 seconds
        • Slows enemies hit by 75% for 1 second
    • Gorge (R)
      • Hungry Hungry Stitches (Talent)
        • Duration increased from 1 to 1.5 seconds
        • Now removes the Movement Speed slow from Gorge
    • Putrid Bile (R)
      • Regenerative Bile (Talent)
        • Now increases Movement Speed by an additional 10% while Putrid Bile is active



    • Force Wall (R)
      • Cost reduced from 75 to 35 Mana
      • Force Wall now forms 50% faster


    The Lost Vikings

    • A Lost Vikings-specific version of the Fury of the Storm Talent has been added at Level 20.
      • Every 5 seconds, the next Basic Attack will deal an additional 10 (+4 per level) damage to the target, and 10 (+11 per level) damage to all nearby Minions and Mercenaries.  Each Viking has a separate cooldown.
    • Longboat Raid (R)
      • Damage reduced from 15 (+8 per level) to 15 (+7 per level)



    • Frostwolf Resilience (Trait)
      • Scaling heal increased from +23 per level to +30 per level
      • Mana Tide (Talent)
        • Mana restoration reduced from 20 to 15
    • Chain Lightning (Q)
      • Mana cost increased from 35 to 40
      • Scaling damage increased from +15 per level to +17 per level
    • Windfury (E)
      • Cost increased from 50 to 65 Mana
      • Movement Speed bonus increased from 25% to 30%
      • Wind Shear (Talent) moved from Level 1 to Level 7
        • Now reduces Windfury’s cooldown by 4 seconds rather than 3



    • Several of Tychus’ Generic Talents have been renamed, but their functionality has not changed:
      • Searing Attacks (Talent) has been renamed to Sizzlin’ Attacks
      • Giant Killer (Talent) has been renamed to Problem Solver



    • A significant number of Tyrande’s Talents have been rearranged.
    • Shroud (Talent) removed
    • Purging Mark (Talent) removed
    • Bolt of the Storm (Talent) removed
    • Focused Attack (Talent) added at Level 4
    • Nexus Frenzy (Talent) added at Level 20
    • Trueshot Aura (Talent) moved from Level 7 to Level 16

    • Uther has received a significant Talent update.
    • Burning Rage (Talent) removed

    • Amplified Healing (Talent) added at Level 4
    • New Talent (Level 7): Holy Fire
      • Deals 8 (+1.6 per level) damage per second to nearby enemies
    • New Talent (Level 16): Benediction
      • Activate to reduce the cost of the next Basic Ability cast by 50 Mana, and its cooldown by 10 seconds.
    • Basic Attack

    • Eternal Devotion (Trait)

      • The functionality of this Trait has changed significantly.
      • Uther can no longer use his Basic Attack or his Abilities while in Eternal Devotion form.
      • Instead, Uther gains a new Ability while in Eternal Devotion form:

    Heroes and Talents

    • Locusts spawned by Abathur after learning the Bombard Strain Talent have had their attack speed increased so that it is consistent with normal Locusts.
    • Brightwing will no longer be incorrectly teleported back to base when casting her Phase Shift Ability on a Lost Viking just as the Vikings enter their Longboat.
    • Diablo will now cast Lightning Breath in the direction of the cursor, rather than the direction he is facing at the time of the cast.
    • Casting E.T.C.’s Stage Dive on top of Zagara's Devouring Maw will no longer cause him to return to his original casting location.
    • Casting The Hunt against a flying Hero will no longer cause Illidan to become stuck outside the playable area.
    • Malfurion's Life Seed Talent will no longer allow Regrowth to benefit ally-controlled Dragon Knights or Garden Terrors.
    • The cooldown for Nova's Triple Tap after learning the Fast Reload Talent will now be appropriately reset upon killing any of the Lost Vikings.
    • Raynor’s feet will no longer appear to slide while using Basic Attacks after dismounting.
    • Corrected an issue which caused the visual effect for Stitches’ Vile Gas Trait to persist longer than intended.
    • Stitches will no longer occasionally become briefly unresponsive after casting Hook on one of Zagara's Banelings.

    User Interface

    • Bridges that cross over areas of water have been made more visible on the minimap.
    • Corrected an issue in which the Hero Level 5 Reward could appear incomplete despite satisfying the reward’s requirements.
    • Fixed an issue which could incorrectly prevent players from locking in an available Hero during Draft Mode.
    • The “/who” chat command can no longer be used to message players on the opposing team during Draft Mode.
    • Corrected an issue which caused Jaina’s Takedown total to appear greatly inflated on the Statistics tab in the Player Profile.

    The Lost Vikings, (Olaf, Baleog, and Erik) just fell through a Nexus portal and are now available for play! Read on for a brief overview of their Abilities, as well as how to control the Vikings in-game.

    • General
      • The Lost Vikings are three Heroes in one!
        • Olaf – Has lots of Health, regenerates Health quickly, and charges to slow enemies
        • Baleog – Deals splash damage to enemies behind his attack target
        • Erik – Moves faster than the other Vikings and has a longer attack range
      • Each Viking can move, attack, and be killed separately. They will also receive individual respawn timers on death.
        • Use the activated Talent hotkeys “1”, “2”, and “3” to select and control the Vikings individually, or press the “4” key to guide them as a group.
    • Basic Abilities
      • The Lost Vikings’ Basic Abilities must be unlocked through Talent Selection.
      • Spin to Win! (Q)
        • Deals damage around each Viking.
        • Can be unlocked at Level 4 by learning the Spin to Win! Talent
      • Jump! (W)
        • All Vikings become temporarily Invulnerable.
        • Can be unlocked at Level 7 by learning the Jump! Talent
      • Norse Force! (E)
        • All Vikings temporarily gain a Shield.
        • Can be unlocked at Level 16 by learning the Norse Force! Talent
    • Mount
      • Go go go! (Z)
        • The Vikings gain increased Movement Speed for a few seconds.
    • Trait
      • Fast Restart
        • Death time is reduced for The Lost Vikings.
    • Heroic Abilities
      • Play Again! (R)
        • All Vikings are revived and teleported to the summoning Viking.

    • Though Team League is not available with today’s patch, those who have achieved Player Level 40 will earn a new progression reward which indicates that they are eligible to compete in Team League. This reward will be displayed in Player Profiles, Quest Logs, and endgame Score Screens, but Team League will remain disabled until a future update is released.

    In-game Communication

    • It is now possible to view recent in-game chat messages by opening the chat box to type a new message. Only the most recent messages will be displayed in this way. Additional improvements will arrive with future updates.
    • The following items have been temporarily disabled for further evaluation and improvements:
      • The Emote Menu (Y).
      • The ability to send “GG” chat messages to opponents in the moments after a Core is destroyed.

    Quest Log

    • A new Quest Log button has been added to the lower-right portion of the bottom navigation bar, next to the Friends List button.
      • The Quest Log will be locked prior to earning the Daily Quests reward at Player Level 6.
      • Click the Quest Log button to view active Daily Quest progression, Player Level progress, as well as the next progression reward.
      • The Quest Log will also be automatically displayed upon each login, which should help players more easily keep track of their Daily Quest and progression reward progress.

    Player Profile

    • The Player Profile screen has received an overhaul.
      • The Daily Quests tab has been removed.
      • The Profile Summary tab has been enabled.
        • Players can use this tab to view general information about their Heroes of the Storm account, such as: Recent Victory, Most Played Heroes, Total Hero Level, Ranked Play win-rates, games played with each Hero role, and much more!
      • The Rewards tab has been renamed to Player Progression
        • This tab can be used to view current Player Level, progress toward the next level, and all Player Level progression rewards.
      • The Hero Progress tab has been renamed to Hero Collection
        • Hero Progress has been visually reworked, allowing many more Heroes, their current Hero Levels, and progress toward the next level, to be displayed on each page of the Hero Collection tab.
        • Additionally, clicking any Hero portrait on the Hero Collection tab will bring up that Hero’s 3D model, as well as detailed information about its current Hero level and reward progress.
      • The Match History tab has been enabled.
        • Select this tab to view a list of recently played Heroes of the Storm matches.
        • The game mode, Hero, and Battleground selected, as well as the game’s result, and a timestamp will be displayed for each match in the list.
      • A Statistics tab has been added.
        • Players can use this tab to view additional statistics about their performance in Heroes of the Storm, such as: Heroes they’ve scored the most takedowns or received the most deaths with, total games played, and Battleground win-rates.
      • A Portrait tab has been added.
        • Portrait Selection has been moved from its previous location to this tab, making it easier than ever for players to find and choose among the portraits they’ve already earned, or simply browse through the portrait rewards they have yet to unlock.
        • Hover the mouse over any Portrait to display a tooltip that explains how it can be earned.
      • Please Note that some of the Player Profile statistics mentioned above will not contain data for games played prior to today’s patch. However, statistics for games played after the patch will be properly tracked.

    Penalties for Leaving Games

    • The tracking and penalties for leaving in-progress Quick Match and Hero League games before they are finished have been changed:
      • Leaving multiple Hero League or Quick Match games without reconnecting will now flag the player to receive the following penalties:
        • The flagged player will be disallowed from queuing for Hero League games until a Quick Match game is played to completion.
          • Leaving additional games early will cause the number of Quick Match games required to increase.
        • When queuing for Quick Match games, the flagged player will be teamed up with other flagged players who have similarly left games early.
        • The system will track players’ recent games. If a player has not left any games prematurely for some time, then leaving a single game (for reasons outside of that player’s control) will not trigger these penalties.
        • When a player who is flagged for leaving games early joins a party, the entire party will also become subject to these penalties.
          • Please note that this will not cause party members to be flagged individually. These penalties will be lifted from the party once the flagged player either completes the requirements noted above, or leaves the party.
        • Players penalized in this way can earn back the ability to play in Hero League, and be matched with non-leaving teammates. Simply play the assigned number of Quick Match games to completion (and stop leaving games).
        • Leaving a Hero League game during Draft Mode will now only penalize and flag the player who left the draft, and will no longer penalize the rest of that player’s party members.
          • In addition, the flagged player will still lose a significant number of Ranked Points upon leaving Draft Mode.




    • Structures
      • The Core now displays Shield impact effects when attacked, so long as Shields remain.
      • Upon destruction, the Core now produces a Nexus coin rather than a crystal.
    • The following units have received updated animations:
      • Siege and Bruiser Mercenaries
      • Grave Golems
      • The Garden Terror
      • The Sky Temple Boss
    • Watchtowers on the Sky Temple Battleground have received updated art.
    • Various Battleground assets have received additional optimization to help improve performance.

    Heroes, Mounts, and Skins

      • Hearthstone (B) has received updated visual effects.
      • A number of in-game Hero portraits have received additional polish.
      • Dance, victory, and taunt animations have been added to a number of Heroes.

    • M.U.L.E. Health is now 140 (+43 per level), rather than remaining at 500 Health for the duration of the match.

    Gathering Power

    Ice Block

    • Ability cooldowns will now continue to run, and persistent auras will continue to take effect, throughout Ice Block’s duration (this was added with the previous patch).

    • Resolved an issue in which some Hero Abilities were not properly revealing their targets after damaging them.
    • Opening the Talent Select pane in Practice Mode will no longer interrupt an in-progress Hearthstone cast.
    • Heroes that have transformation effects will no longer revert back to their default Skin color after Cloaking and Decloaking.  
    • Corrected several typos and tooltip errors across multiple aspects of the game. 


    • Great-father Winter Rehgar’s appearance while in Ghost Wolf form will now appropriately match his selected Skin Variation.
    • Corrected some minor clipping in Illidan's Master Skin model.
    • Tassadar no longer exhibits an animation pop when sitting idle on the Battle Beast Mount. 


    • Abathur’s Hivemind Talent can no longer benefit the Dragon Knight or player-controlled Garden Terrors.
    • Battleground objective units such as Grave Golems, Garden Terrors, and Mercenaries will now become invulnerable while leashing. 
    • Falstad’s Flight cooldown is now properly reset after pressing the “Clear Cooldowns” button in Try Mode.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause Grave Golems to deviate from their intended attack paths (Hotfixed on January 22).
    • Grave Golems will now properly ignore Tassadar’s Force Wall.
    • Grave Golems, Mercenaries, and Minions will no longer completely ignore Structures affected by Zeratul’s Void Prison.
    • Fixed a rare issue in which Skulls occasionally spawn outside of the playable area on Haunted Mines.
    • Kerrigan’s Ultralisk can now properly walk through uncollected Doubloons on Blackheart’s Bay.
    • Sky Temple Map Mechanic stats are now properly recorded on the end-game score screen.
    • Spirits created by Chen’s Storm, Earth, Fire Heroic Ability can no longer capture the Dragon Knight on Dragon Shire. 

    Heroes and Talents

    • Players will no longer permanently lose control of Abathur if he is killed immediately after the Ultimate Evolution Heroic Ability expires (Hotfixed on January 22).
    • Fixed an issue in which Abathur could become permanently stuck in Symbiote form under very specific circumstances.
    • The Bombard Strain Talent for Abathur’s Locust Strain Trait now appropriately lists a 66% damage bonus for Locusts in its tooltip.
    • Visual effects for Abathur’s Deep Tunnel are no longer visible through line of sight blockers for opponents when Symbiote is cancelled.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause Anub’arak to become stuck after using Burrow Charge near a Wall.
    • Internal text will no longer display when Azmodan's Demons kill Murky's Egg.
    • Visual explosion effects for Azmodan’s Globe of Annihilation with the Sieging Wrath Talent will now properly appear at long distances.
    • Visual effects for Chen's Brewmaster's Balance Talent will no longer persist after Chen is killed.
    • Fixed a rare issue which could allow Gazlowe to use both Grav-O-Bomb 3,000 and Robo-Goblin in the same match.
    • Muradin's Haymaker now deals the appropriate amount of damage to Grave Golems and player-controlled Garden Terrors.
    • Lighting issues will no longer occur when Murky is revived at an Egg placed in the Haunted Mines.
    • Nova’s Holo Decoy will no longer pick up Doubloons if Nova is killed before the Decoy expires.
    • Nova's Holo Decoy now appropriately displays any Doubloons it collects on Blackheart’s Bay.
    • Fixed an issue in which Shrink Ray could fail to apply its 50% damage reduction if the target had already begun casting an Ability prior to coming under Shrink Ray’s effects.
    • A Sgt. Hammer in Siege Mode now properly becomes mobile while under the effects of Brightwing’s Polymorph, and will no longer be in Siege Mode when Polymorph expires.
    • Visual explosion effects from Sgt. Hammer's Basic Attacks while in Siege Mode now appear at the appropriate location when attacking flying enemies.
    • Heroes will no longer be teleported back to Stitches if they are Gorged when Stitches comes under the effects of Anub’arak’s Web Blast.
    • Fixed an issue in which Tassadar could gain additional range on Psionic Storm when selecting the talent Second Strike.
    • Tassadar will no longer display a targeting reticule during Dimensional Shift if he was being actively targeted before casting the Ability.
    • Fixed a rare issue in which Earthquake could still be cast, and then receive a reduced cooldown, if Thrall was stunned while channeling the Ability.
    • Thrall's Chain Lightning will no longer bounce to, or reveal, Cloaked units.
    • Tychus will no longer perform any Basic Attacks while using his Overkill Ability (Hotfixed on January 22).


    • Chen's ready sound can no longer be heard by all players during Hero Selection. 

    User Interface

    • Fixed an issue in which players could become incorrectly flagged for game abandonment penalties when their Hero League game failed to start for reasons beyond their control.
    • Fixed an issue in which inviting matched teammates to join a party while in Hero League Draft Mode could cause display issues for the inviting player.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause players to indefinitely receive "Waiting for Results" on the endgame Score Screen if another player disconnects just as the game concludes.
    • It is no longer possible to enter a game using an unearned Skin Variation. 
  • Pochi giorni fa è iniziata ufficialmente la Closed Beta ed oggi Blizzard ha iniziato a proporre il Kit del Fondatore. Acquistando questo pacchetto, già disponibile in gioco allo stesso prezzo, è possibile ottenere oltre a vari elementi di gioco anche un accesso immediato ad Heroes of the Storm, a partire dall'attuale fase di test.

  • La Closed Beta di Heroes ha portato modifiche rilevanti ad Abathur, Falstad, Li Li e aggiornamenti su molti elementi di gioco.

    Nelle patch note pubblicate qualche giorno fa non era stato possibile per gli sviluppatori inserire anche le motivazioni delle loro scelte. Oggi hanno deciso di intervenire nuovamente per spiegare meglio la loro filosofia di pensiero.

    Questa patch è troppo estesa per spiegare ogni singola modifica, perciò abbiamo tentato di identificare quelle relative ai singoli eroi che sono più interessanti o con le motivazioni apparentemente più oscure. Come sempre, il vostro feedback è molto apprezzato!

    Revisione eroi
    Stiamo ancora lavorando sugli eroi già presenti e sui loro talenti mentre la fase di sviluppo continua nella closed beta, e Nova era solo l'inizio. Con questa patch abbiamo introdotto grandi novità per Abathur, Falstad e Li Li. Ci sono UN SACCO di modifiche, e non riuscirò ad analizzarle tutte, ma mi concentrerò su quelle che meglio esemplificano le intenzioni dei programmatori.

    • Abathur ha ricevuto una revisione intensiva.

    In un certo senso Abathur è il progenitore del sistema dei talenti, e una volta definiti, i suoi talenti non sono stati aggiornati per molto tempo. I talenti che Abathur ha oggi sono gli stessi della BlizzCon 2013, ed era quindi necessario che venissero aggiornati. Abbiamo introdotto dei nuovi talenti per questo eroe, e rimosso o modificato quelli che non erano abbastanza efficaci.
    Scorrendo le modifiche ai talenti, noterete che stiamo sperimentando con talenti di livello 20 che modificano abilità base invece di abilità eroiche (come Nido di Locuste o Unica Mente), e con talenti che modificano abilità eroiche a livelli diversi dal 20 (Mutazione Volatile). Abathur si dimostra un maestro dell'evoluzione anche per quanto riguarda la progettazione dei talenti.

    • Nuova abilità (R): Mostruosità
      • Trasforma un servitore o una Locusta alleati in una Mostruosità per 60 secondi.

    Infine, Abathur ottiene la sua seconda abilità eroica, basata più sull'assalto individuale che sul combattimento di squadra. La Mostruosità può essere controllata con Simbionte, e non vediamo l'ora di scoprire cosa faranno i giocatori!

    • Evoluzione Definitiva (R)
      • I cloni di Evoluzione Definitiva non ereditano l'abilità eroica dell'ospite.
      • Uccidere i cloni di Evoluzione Definitiva fornisce una piccola quantità di PE.
      • Tempo di recupero ridotto da 120 a 80 secondi.

    Questa è una modifica significativa. Pensare al bilanciamento con la copia di una potente abilità eroica è un lavoro molto duro. Per supportare la copia dell'abilità eroica stavamo anche creando molte strane regole a seconda di ogni caso (per eroi attuali e futuri).
    Dal punto di vista della progettazione, Evoluzione Definitiva sembrava una sorta di scelta obbligata: attendi di avere l'abilità eroica e poi usala. Volevamo che i cloni fossero usati in modo più tattico e modulare, e che non fossero solo dei fantocci in grado di usare abilità eroiche.

    • Falstad ha ricevuto una revisione intensiva.

    Falstad era sul nostro elenco da tempo. Volevamo aggiornare i suoi talenti, ma c'erano problemi ancora più urgenti con (W) Esplosione Tonante e (R) Incursione Aerea.

    Nuova abilità (W): Parafulmine
    • Danneggia un nemico e infligge danni aggiuntivi in 4 secondi se Falstad rimane vicino al bersaglio.

    Esplosione Tonante non aveva una dinamica di gioco molto varia, e non era molto chiaro né a Falstad né ai nemici che cosa stesse succedendo. A volte un lampo colpiva un bersaglio apparentemente casuale.
    La nuova abilità, Parafulmine, mantiene lo spirito di Esplosione Tonante risolvendo molti dei suoi problemi di ambiguità.

    Nuova abilità (R): Folata Possente
    • Una folata di vento respinge i nemici, rallentandoli del 60%. L'effetto si esaurisce in 3 secondi.

    Molti feedback lamentavano il fatto che Incursione Aerea fosse una scelta sbagliata per Falstad. Uno stordimento ad area con un lungo tempo di ricarica non è una scelta ideale per un assassino a distanza con poca Salute. In alcuni casi di nicchia era divertente sfruttarla, ma per la maggior parte era difficile e poco sfruttabile. Forse un giorno reintrodurremo questa abilità, ma non per Falstad.
    Folata Possente, al contrario, è rapida, efficace e si inserisce perfettamente nella filosofia di Falstad. Non solo lo mantiene al sicuro, ma ho visto delle interessanti combo di (Z) Volo + (R) Folata Possente che spediscono membri della squadra nemica direttamente nella zona del pericolo. 

    Li Li
    • Li Li ha ricevuto una revisione intensiva.

    Li Li ha ottenuto nuovi talenti, e molti talenti precedenti sono stati rinnovati. C'è stato un acceso dibattito su quanto dovessimo cambiare di Li Li. Alla fine, abbiamo deciso che alcuni potenziamenti generali e alcune modifiche ai talenti sarebbero stati sufficienti. Fateci sapere cosa ne pensate!

    Ripresa della Tempesta
    • Il talento è stato rimosso dal gioco.

    C'erano molti problemi con Ripresa della Tempesta. Inizialmente, avrebbe dovuto essere un'opzione di livello 20 per incoraggiare i "tank" (guerrieri) a ingaggiare i nemici. L'idea era buona, ma aveva un prezzo. La durata delle partite si allungava a causa delle resurrezioni rapide e i giocatori che vincevano uno scontro con una squadra con Ripresa della Tempesta non erano adeguatamente ricompensati. Troppi eroi (fra cui Li Li) potevano disporre di Ripresa, anche se non era un talento esattamente adatto a loro. Da ultimo, questo talento metteva in ombra altre abilità speciali degli eroi, come Pietra Nera delle Anime di Diablo.
    Il team di progettazione stava pensando da tempo di eliminare Ripresa della Tempesta: nell'ultima patch l'abbiamo penalizzata, questa volta la eliminiamo. Riteniamo che il gioco ne possa giovare, anche se la rimozione limita le opzioni di alcuni eroi al livello 20. Nei prossimi aggiornamenti introdurremo nuovi talenti che sopperiranno alla rimozione di Ripresa della Tempesta come scelta di livello 20. 

    Capitano di Ventura
    • Nuovo funzionamento
      • I mercenari assediatori e combattenti ora infliggono il 50% di danni aggiuntivi.
      • Un giocatore con il talento Capitano di Ventura deve trovarsi nelle vicinanze dei mercenari perché questi ricevano il bonus ai danni.

    Capitano di Ventura aveva un problema di base: un eroe con il talento doveva far parte del gruppo che conquistava un campo di mercenari perché il bonus fosse attivo. In molti casi ci siamo ritrovati a urlare contro il monitor, supplicando i nostri alleati di NON conquistare il campo fino all'arrivo dell'eroe con il talento Capitano di Ventura. Questa dinamica era innaturale e decisamente strana.
    Il nuovo funzionamento è più lineare e non richiede che i giocatori adottino strane tattiche di conquista dei campi.

    • Tempesta, Terra e Fuoco (R)
      • Ora ha un tempo di attivazione di 1 secondo, in cui è possibile interrompere l'abilità.

    Abbiamo ricevuto molti feedback sulle "barre vitali secondarie", e siamo d'accordo che ci siano dei problemi in particolare con Ripresa della Tempesta, Tychus e Chen. Affronteremo ognuno di questi problemi in modi diversi, risolvendoli negli aggiornamenti futuri.
    Riteniamo che una seconda barra vitale sia accettabile per un guerriero robusto come Chen, in modo che possa mantenere tutta la funzionalità di Tempesta, Terra e Fuoco. Quello che non consideriamo accettabile è l'utilizzo di questa abilità come possibilità di fuga gratuita quando la Salute scarseggia. Questa modifica vuole incentivare un utilizzo aggressivo e non difensivo di Tempesta, Terra e Fuoco, e stimolare nuove risposte da parte dei nemici.

    • Robo-Goblin (R)
      • Ora è un'abilità eroica passiva sempre attiva. Sparachiodi può utilizzare una cavalcatura anche dopo aver scelto questa abilità eroica.
      • Bonus ai danni ridotto dal 250% al 150%.

    L'idea di un'abilità eroica permanente ci girava in testa da un po'. Vorremmo esplorare alcune opzioni di abilità eroiche come questa. In questo caso specifico, ci piace una dinamica di gioco in cui Sparachiodi è costantemente più forte e interagisce in modo diverso con la mappa. 

    • Metamorfosi (R)
      • Forma Demoniaca (Talento)
        • Non impedisce a Illidan di usare una cavalcatura, ma non aumenta più la velocità di movimento fuori dal combattimento.

    A volte le modifiche non sono dovute a problemi di bilanciamento o progettazione, ma derivano dal nostro fare ordine dopo lunghi periodi di sviluppo. Capita spesso nel nostro ambiente. Quando abbiamo pensato a Forma Demoniaca, eravamo preoccupati che i giocatori non l'avrebbero scelto se avessero dovuto rinunciare alla cavalcatura per il resto della partita. Abbiamo aggiunto l'aumento alla velocità di movimento fuori dal combattimento per risolvere questo problema. Ora che abbiamo il supporto artistico per mantenere la possibilità di avere una cavalcatura, possiamo rimuovere quella regola di troppo.

    • Ultralisca (R)
      • L'Ultralisca può cambiare bersaglio mediante il tasto "R".

    • Mitragliatrice (Tratto distintivo)
      • Tychus non deve più caricare la Mitragliatrice per attaccare. Invece, attacca all'istante facendo fuoco a una velocità ridotta, che aumenta fino a raggiungere la velocità massima dopo 1,5 secondi.

Sottolineo questo bug perché uno dei principali intenti alla base delle scelte di progettazione è mantenere una durata delle partite non troppo elevata. Prima di apportare modifiche al nucleo o alle altre strutture volevamo risolvere questo problema e valutarne gli effetti in un ambiente live.

    Sky Temple, a brand new 3-lane Battleground, has been added to Heroes of the Storm and is now available for play in all game modes!

    • Temples at the center of each lane will activate after 90 seconds, and can be captured to fire devastating beams of energy at enemy Structures.
      • Beware! Once a Temple has been captured, its Guardians will rise and attempt to remove players by force. Defeat them to maintain control of an active Temple.
      • A Temple will cease firing shortly after all players have left its grounds, and can then be recaptured by either team. Be ready to fend off enemy players who seek to wrest control of the Temples for their own benefit.
    • One, two, or three Temples will activate at a time, and Temple activation will occur periodically throughout a game.
    • Temples will deactivate once their Ammunition is depleted.


    Thrall, Warchief of the Horde, has entered the Nexus and is now available for play! Read on for a brief overview of his abilities.

        • Persistently slows enemies in a massive area.

        • Sunder the earth in a line, damaging and stunning enemies in its path.



    • Versus Mode has been renamed to Quick Match.
    • All Daily Quests can now be completed in Practice Mode.

    Hero League

    • Initial implementation for Hero League, the first Ranked Play mode in Heroes of the Storm, has been added to the game!
      • With Hero League, players will be able to queue up alone, or in a party of any size, for ranked, competitive matches against others of similar skill and party size.
      • In order to queue for Hero League, players must meet the following requirements:
        • Reach Level 30 or higher.
        • Own 10 or more Heroes (weekly free rotation Heroes do not count toward this requirement.)
    • Draft Mode
      • After finding a match, players will enter Draft Mode, in which teams will take turns picking the Heroes they’d like to use for the upcoming game.
      • Coin Toss
        • A coin toss will determine which team will pick first.
        • The team that wins the coin toss will be prompted to pick one Hero on the first turn, after which, teams will alternate picking two Heroes per turn until just one player remains on the team that lost the coin toss.
      • Hero Selection
        • Players may only choose from the pool of Heroes that they already own.
        • Each player will have 30 seconds to select a Hero during their turn. If no selection is made, a Hero will be locked in automatically.
        • Once locked in, a Hero can no longer be selected by any other player.
    • Points and Ranks
      • All Hero League players will be ranked individually, starting at Rank 50.
        • Win games to earn points that count toward promotion to the next rank, up to a maximum of Rank 1.
        • Losing games will result in a loss of points, and enough losses can cause demotion to the previous rank (though not below Rank 50.)
      • Players can view their own Rank and win/loss record at any time on the Hero League Play Screen.
    • Game Abandonment
      • A player that leaves an in-progress Hero League or Quick Match game will not be allowed to queue for Ranked Play until a new Quick Match game is completed.
      • Leaving a Hero League game during Draft Mode will result in a loss of 300 ranked points in addition to the above penalty, and all of that player’s party members at the time of Draft Mode abandonment will also receive these penalties.

    Custom Games

    • The “Lobby Mode” dropdown found at the top-right corner of Custom Game lobbies has been enabled, and can now be used to switch between Hero Select formats:
      • Standard - Mirrors the same Hero Select format used in Quick Match games.
      • Draft Mode - Consists of two options:
        • Predetermined - Causes Hero Select to mirror the same Draft Mode format used for Hero League games.
        • First Come First Served (FCFS) - Utilizes a different Draft Mode format, which allows each team to freely decide the order in which its players will select their Heroes.

    Hearthstone (B)

    • Towers
      • The amount of time that towers are disabled while regenerating ammunition has been increased from 20 to 30 seconds.
        • This was done to align with a previous change, in which the rate of tower ammo regeneration was reduced to 1 per 15 seconds. As such, towers will now come back online with 2 ammunition.


    • Grave Golem
      • Root
        • Grave Golems will no longer pause when casting Root.
        • Root will now be cast on ranged Minions.
        • Heroic units will remain the preferred targets.
      • Stomp
        • The post-cast delay on Stomp has been removed.
        • Stomp will now be cast when there are at least 2 Heroic units around the Grave Golem, or at least 3 Minions.
        • Stomp will not be cast unless the Grave Golem is already stationary.
        • Stomp now deals increased damage versus Minions.



    • Level 20 Talents have been re-ordered in the Talent Select Pane for all Heroes so that Talents which modify Heroic Abilities are listed in the first and second slots.

    Resurgence of the Storm

    • This Talent has been removed from the game.

    Calldown: MULE

    • MULE intelligence has been increased! 
      • MULEs now prioritize repairing Structures over replenishing ammunition (if a building has ammunition, its ammunition will still be replenished while it is being repaired.)
      • MULEs will now prioritize Town Halls and Towers, then Gates and Moonwells, and then Walls.
    • If two Structures with equal priority are in range of the MULE’s placement, it will begin repairing the one it was dropped closer to.
    • After all Structures in range are healed, a MULE will then prioritize based on their need for ammunition.

    Mercenary Lord

    • New functionality
      • Siege and Bruiser Mercenaries now deal 50% increased damage.
      • A player with the Mercenary Lord Talent must be within proximity of Siege and Bruiser Mercenaries in order for them to receive the damage bonus.



    • Abathur has received a major overhaul.
    • New Ability (R): Evolve Monstrosity
      • Turn an allied Minion or Locust into a Monstrosity for 60 seconds.
      • When enemy Minions near the Monstrosity die, it gains 4% Health and 4% Basic Attack damage, stacking up to 30 times.
      • Using Symbiote on the Monstrosity allows Abathur to control it, in addition to Symbiote’s normal benefits.
      • New Talent (Level 16): Volatile Mutation
        • Ultimate Evolution clones and Monstrosities deal damage to nearby enemies every 3 seconds, as well as when they die.
      • New Talent (Level 20): Evolution Complete
        • Increases the Monstrosity’s duration by 50%, and the Monstrosity gains the Ability to Deep Tunnel to any visible location every 30 seconds.
    • Locust Strain (Trait)
      • Eradicate Minions (Talent) removed

        • This talent has been reworked.  Duration and Health increases have been removed.
        • The Torrasque now morphs into an egg when it dies or expires.  If the egg is not killed within a short time, a new Torrasque is spawned.  This effect can only occur once.

      • Tychus no longer has to wind-up his Minigun to attack. Instead, it now instantly attacks, beginning at a slow rate of fire, and increases to its previous maximum speed after 1.5 seconds.



    • Creep Tumor (Trait)
      • Zagara can now see the duration remaining on her Creep Tumors.
      • Endless Creep (Talent)
        • Creep spread increase removed
        • Creep spread area increased from 25% to 50%
        • Now also doubles Creep Tumor Health
    • Infested Drop (E)
      • Bile Drop (Talent)
        • Now deals the 100% bonus damage on impact, rather than damaging over time.
      • Corpse Feeders (Talent)
        • No longer increases Roachling duration
        • Now decreases the damage that non-Heroic units deal to Roachlings by 30%
    • Devouring Maw (R)
      • Tyrant Maw (Talent)
        • Cooldown reduction from this talent is no longer dependent on Zagara killing a Hero inside of Devouring Maw.  This is now a passive bonus.  Anytime Zagara is credited with a Hero takedown, Devouring Maw’s cooldown is reduced by 25 seconds.



    • Fixed several issues that could cause Abilities to not fire appropriately while holding down the right mouse button to move with Quick Cast enabled.
    • Fixed an issue which caused exceptionally bright lighting to appear on certain Heroes while watching a Replay.
    • Corrected several typos and tooltip errors across multiple aspects of the game.


    • Fixed a slight animation pop that could occur while Tyrande was riding the Battle Beast Mount.


    • Catapult Minions no longer deal half their intended damage, and once again deal area of effect damage around their target.
    • The Burning Rage Talent no longer deals double damage to towers affected by the Raven Lord’s Curse on the Cursed Hollow Battleground.
    • Brightwing’s Phase Shift can no longer target the Dragon Statue while it is capturable on the Dragon Shire Battleground.
    • Fixed an issue in which summoned Grave Golems on the Haunted Mines dealt significantly more damage to Heroes than expected.
    • Muradin’s Haymaker will no longer knock enemies out of the playable area in the Haunted Mines.
    • Neutral Garden Terrors will no longer drop regeneration globes inside of walls.
    • Summoned Grave Golems on the Haunted Mines now properly ignore summoned units.

    Heroes and Talents

    • Abathur’s Symbiote is no longer visible when near the edge of the Fog of War.
    • Casting Abathur’s Ultimate Evolution on a target affected by the Garden Terror’s Spore Queen’s Curse no longer causes a plant model to persist on the clone.
    • Arthas Ghouls no longer instantly die to Anub’arak’s Web Blast
    • Glow effects for Arthas’ Frostmourne Hungers no longer visually persist through polymorph-type abilities. 
    • Bolt of the Storm and Zeratul’s Blink can no longer be cast while rooted.
    • Chen’s Storm, Earth, Fire Spirits no longer become unable to cast Abilities if Triple Attack is used to jump into the enemy Altar of Storms.
    • E.T.C.’s Mosh Pit now properly reveals Cloaked Heroes.
    • Visual effects for E.T.C.’s Guitar Solo are no longer visible through the Fog of War.
    • Gazlowe’s Deth Lazor should now properly freeze enemy Structures and Minions after learning the EZ-PZ Dimensional Ripper Talent.
    • Fixed an issue in which Illidan’s The Hunt could cause unexpected behavior with Zeratul’s Cloak.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause Illidan to fly out of the playable area when casting the Hunt and then shift-queuing Dive into Zeratul’s Void Prison.
    • Heroes that activate the Ice Block Talent can no longer queue Abilities until Ice Block has expired. 
    • Kerrigan’s Assimilation Trait now appropriately grants Shields for damage dealt by her Psionic Pulse Talent.
    • Li Li’s Cloud Serpent will now attack mounted Heroes.
    • Li Li’s Timeless Creature Talent no longer allows two Cloud Serpents to be present simultaneously on the same target.
    • A range indicator is now displayed when hovering the mouse over Malfurion’s Innervate Ability icon.
    • Fixed an issue in which Muradin’s starting Health regeneration was much higher than intended.
    • Muradin’s Haymaker targeting arrow will no longer persist on the target, nor display through the Fog of War, if Muradin is killed before Haymaker can be cast.
    • Nova’s Holo Decoy will now appropriately use Basic Attacks even if it does not have enough Mana to cast Abilities when it is spawned.
    • Fixed several inconsistencies that could occur with Raynor’s Penetrating Round after learning Talents that modify its damage.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause Rehgar to briefly pause before his first Basic Attack after casting Feral Lunge.
    • The cooldown for Rehgar’s Ancestral Healing is now appropriately reduced to 10 seconds if the Ability is cancelled.
    • Rehgar will no longer exit Ghost Wolf form when activating the Farsight Talent.
    • A Stitches that Gorges a hero and then becomes affected by Zagara’s Devouring Maw will now continue to hold onto the Gorge target until Devouring Maw expires.
    • Stitches’ Hook will no longer become visually stuck to targets that cannot be pulled.
    • Fixed an issue which caused summoned units to deal half damage to Heroes with the Superiority Talent.
    • The duration bar for Tassadar’s Archon will no longer remain visible on the death screen if Tassadar is killed while transforming into his Archon form.
    • Casting Tassadar’s Dimensional Shift immediately after being struck by Tyrande’s Sentinel will no longer cause the revealed indicator to persist on Tassadar until his next death.
    • Fixed a rare issue in which Tychus could be immediately killed upon exiting the Odin after entering it at full Health. 
    • Corrected a tooltip which incorrectly indicated that Tychus’ Drakken Laser Drill was only dealing half its actual damage.
    • If Tyrael’s Judgment is cancelled prior to reaching the target, he will now continue to fly toward the target’s previous location rather than drop into unpathable terrain.
    • Casting Tyrande’s Sentinel now displays an appropriate minimap icon after learning the Ranger Talent.
    • The visual effects for Valla’s Manticore Talent will no longer persist on Tassadar during Dimensional Shift.


    • Illidan’s Metamorphosis voiceover is no longer globally audible. 
    • The First Blood announcer voiceover is no longer played for each Murky death while watching a Replay.
    • Grave Golem attack sounds are no longer audible through the Fog of War.
    • Selecting Sgt. Hammer’s Hyper-Cooling Engines Talent while she is dead will no longer cause the associated sound effects to play before respawning.
    • Voiceover indicating that a Garden Terror is spawning will no longer default to English when another language setting is selected.

    User Interface

    • Fixed an issue that could cause excess UI elements to appear upon returning to game menus after playing with a Hero that cannot use Mounts.
    • A party member that cancels the matchmaking queue just as the countdown begins will no longer cause the bottom navigation bar to disappear for remaining party members.
    • The Hero Level progress bar on endgame Summary Screens now more accurately reflects the amount of XP required when very near level-up. 
    • Bringing up the Radial Ping Menu on the minimap will no longer cause the minimap to stop functioning.
